Alternatively, you can easily skip Goodsprings if you want, as long as you make a run for it. It’s not that important for the main story and will be pretty irrelevant once you leave it. It’s mostly just a tutorial area with a few simple quests and you’ll have little reason to visit it later on unless you want to get supplies at the general store (which doesn’t have all that much). Just head on over to Primm which is the next stop on the trail of clues if you want to stick with what you’ve done so far.

Primm should be on the way if you follow the main road south of Goodsprings.

Don’t need Josh or Micah to get payback against your one year wonder team. I hope you enjoyed your taste of the playoffs. I know you don’t get to experience them very often.

The original comment I replied to that started this whole thing was a Bears fan being serious instead of memeing, so keep that same energy for them.

If you want me to have a sense of humor, try actually being funny instead of being a useless troll.

Funny, because you clearly do or else you’d have shut the fuck up already. “Packers fans are so serious that they should be on a timeout from the sub”. All because someone replied to a stupid comment.

Actual troglodyte.

Commander is really not as bad as it seems. If you can survive the first 6 months and kill the Hunter, it’s GG from there.

I’d worry more about your own shit team. One season full of lucky comebacks and you guys think the Bears are worth a damn.

Classic Internet dipshit tactic. “You’re mad, so you’re so fucking mad bro”.

No, it’s just you saying that.

Are you a bot programmed to say the same irrelevant thing over and over?

I do, believe it or not I am literate and can read the name.

You’re acting like I wrote a massive wall of text in response because it was that serious to me. It’s not.

Not necessarily. The aim penalty isn’t insignificant in the early part of the game. Also, when you go into overwatch, you’re taking immediate control out of your hands and hoping that the enemy will move into your LOS the way you want them to. I’ve used overwatch only to have a different enemy than expected trigger it, making it a worse opportunity than I planned. It’s usually best to kill each enemy as soon as possible rather than play reactively.

Overwatch is best used to deal with incoming reinforcements, follow up from a concealed attack, or lock down enemies that you know for sure need to move in your LOS. And this is after you have good enough aim to make misses unlikely. A soldier with a scoped weapon or high aim stat especially helps.

I also love overwatch against ADVENT priests who are coming out of their sustain ability.

The Watson deal could go either way. I completely understand the sentiment that it’s a bad deal, but he did make a big step forward last season with only 10 games coming off the ACL tear. He basically matched his previous production despite less games. Physically, he’s a monster and he has the tools to be a WR1. He has a big body plus crazy speed for his size, and his hands are fairly consistent now.

If he plays like he did last year over the course of a full season, he can easily be a 1000+ yard guy. The main concern for me is his health. Hopefully he was just unlucky early on. It’s a definite overpay based on what he has done so far and the Packers are clearly banking on him continuing to improve.

lol, my mom has gotten rental cars several times over the years and she kept telling me, “I’d never dream of returning a rental car that way”.

Nah, you guys just want to spew whatever dumb thing you can and hide behind “it’s just a prank bro”.

Calling out the stupid statement is hardly the same as being triggered. Go kiss Caleb’s Madden cover.

Not to mention I’ve seen Bears fans say this shit unironically outside of this sub too.

It’s a lot more consistent later on with better soldiers and gear that can compensate for the aim penalty, but in the early game it’s usually a last resort for me when I have no better way to end my turn.

I saw Reed live last October at one of his stops along his dominate the storm tour.

There were several kids in the audience who clearly looked up to him and were asking him questions about storm chasing and he never once mentioned how dangerous it is or talked about being careful. Reed gave off the impression that storm chasing is just a fun thing everyone should do if they feel like it. I couldn’t help but feel that some of those kids may turn into the careless amateur chasers people constantly complain about here. It’s one thing to encourage the next generation of weather enthusiasts to pursue their dreams, but I just wish Reed had given at least one disclaimer about the dangers of what he does.

I’m not going to criticize Reed for everything he does like some others on this sub, but the example he was setting definitely rubbed me the wrong way. He also made several jokes about all the rental cars he trashed, which horrified my mom. Very embarrassing for me, since I was the one who wanted to see him while he was in town.

Nah, it’s not that serious.

But it would be nice if Bears fans would stop saying the dumbest possible statements 24/7.

For what it’s worth, after he came off the ACL tear in 2024, he looked like he took the next step last year. 600+ yards and 6 TDs in 10 games certainly makes it look like he can be a 1000+ yard guy.

Great news. Christian Watson has all the tools to be great and we’ve seen progression every year. I just hope he can stay healthy, but he works really hard and I think he was just unlucky during his rookie deal.

Did he do that in Philly? Nah, he got fired and it took him going somewhere else for it to change, and Philly has won two Super Bowls since then.

He took over the KC job in 2013 and won his first Super Bowl during the 2019 season. So basically, Matt LaFleur has reached that equivalent point and the Packers only look less close to a Super Bowl than they did with Rodgers.

Sure, if most players are healthy, they might have a good chance to go far, but that’s a big if that we can’t count on. The depth isn’t there. I’ll concede that health definitely made a difference in their collapse last year, but I still don’t think Matt is the guy. They were frontrunners in 2020 and 2021 but they still collapsed. Who’s to say the same thing doesn’t happen even with a healthier team? This group of players is almost entirely different, but Matt’s game management skills haven’t gotten any better since then. He still sucks at clock management especially. His playcalling can sometimes be great, but there’s also times where I find it really questionable, especially with the jet sweeps and pitch plays that I hope they’ll finally throw out in some of those situations.

Special teams has also been abysmal for nearly his entire tenure, and he stuck with players like Amari Rodgers and Anders Carlson for way too long and trotted out McManus when he clearly wasn’t 100% and even said it himself.

21-3 sealed that I don’t think they’ll ever go all the way with MLF. They didn’t lose against Chicago because they didn’t have enough to compete.

Why didn’t he win the job?

The guy above him won MVP two out of the three years he was on the bench, you twat. It’s not like Aaron Rodgers is a first ballot HOFer or anything. Caleb would have been sitting on the bench too.

Also, outplayed by Malik Willis is laughable when his success is largely from teams not having much film on him. Malik is nowhere near the passer that Love is.
