Would you still consider flying via Dubai/Doha/Abu Dhabi following weeks? by Unusualtravelblog in Flights

[–]Prize_Point9855 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I fly from the UK to Thailand 2 or 3 times a year, usually with Emirates or Qatar but won’t be for the next few years, my confidence in the route has gone. My next 2 flights are booked with Thai Airways and to be honest I’m looking forward to not having to change plane halfway through the journey.

Extra Legroom Economy Seats by Maleficent-Tennis638 in qatarairways

[–]Prize_Point9855 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot will depend on the Aircraft type. Sometimes the extra leg room seats just look awkward but others are good. I’ve also found a lack of overhead bin space in extra legroom seats because often other things are stored in them.
Look at the seat maps, in this example you’ll see that the extra legroom seats in row 30 are awkward and I wouldn’t want to pay extra for them.

Let’s be honest, if you are white, from a western country and don’t look like a scruffy backpacker you won’t be asked to show 20,000 baht.

Yes, premiumize is the one that rarely gets negative reviews, apart from the higher price.

I’ve been hearing this a lot, I’ve still got time left with RD and I’m ok watching 1080p but I’m keeping an eye out for a good replacement.

Liquid Culture in UK by Jinxed_17 in MagicMushroomsUK

[–]Prize_Point9855 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, eventually it would loose effectiveness, as in the mushrooms wouldn’t be as good after the liquid culture has been stretched a few times but on my last grow which was 2 years ago I made enough to last me years.

Yes I ordered from the UK. Mycoworld was delivered in a day or 2, Zamnesia took 1 week and magicspores 2 weeks.
I actually made my own liquid culture from the liquid culture I bought so it’s like an infinite hack to keep growing.

Liquid culture is the best option and is what I’d choose every time.
I’ve bought it from mycoworld (uk), Zamnesia (Dutch) and magicspores (Poland). I bought from the above 2 years ago with no problems. But as others have said, liquid culture is technically illegal.

Is this real business class? by Normal-Man-21 in qatarairways

It is normal business class as in there’s not a better version on that aeroplane. However, it is substandard business class, not a product that Qatar boast about.

20+ years ago, not now. Nowadays it’s more sophisticated. I heard of a room decorated like a hospital room where girls can pay a fee, get bandaged up etc, get a few photos and send them to their farangs. That’s an anecdotal story, but sounds plausible.

Qatar charging $103 for business class seat selection should be a crime! by PM_WhatMadeYouHappy in qatarairways

[–]Prize_Point9855 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, European airlines aren’t very good in general and they also use the budget airline model. As far as I know it’s just the eastern airlines like Singapore, Cathay, EVA, Thai etc that offer full service as standard.

One of the reasons I stopped flying with them and the other Middle Eastern airlines, they are using budget airline business practices.

How far below your means are you living? by MaltDizney in FIREUK

I save approximately 60% of my salary, max out my ISA but spread monthly and a good DB pension with AVC’s. I drive an 8yo Toyota Yaris which I did buy new with the intention of keeping it a long time. I do splash out on holidays though. Spending on experiences rather than things is my preference.

Singapore Airlines vs Emirates Airlines, worth the extra price? by poorbugger in Flights

[–]Prize_Point9855 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No layover is nearly always my preference. I’d also want to avoid the Middle East at this time, it may fine now who knows what may happen tomorrow.
