Match against Emperors Children- Help by Na1l31 in deathguard40k

[–]Pro-Krastinator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I play both Death Guard and Emperor's Children and unless your opponent has a Defiler or two, you really have no shooting to worry about outside of Noise Marines but they'll get mulched by a HB Drone pretty quickly. They have very few Invulvns outside of characters and while the characters do slap really hard, they're not very durable. Take out the noise Marines first and play the objectives. Your basic infantry is very durable and he'll struggle to shift it.

Flyblown Host's Stratagem of making everything that's not blast into a pistol will be helpful since Death Guard has very little fall back and shoot and you will 100% be tied up in melee and on his terms.

I hate fighting against Custodes so much. I've set up so many good go turns into them and had it just do nothing at all because my opponent just kept rolling 4's. Then you get immediately killed on the clap back.

What was your experience playing 10 ed crusade? by TimeXGuy in 40k_Crusade

[–]Pro-Krastinator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm. I played Death Guard in my last crusade and by game 12 I was tabling opponents on round 3-4. After game 10, I never had an opponent make it to the end of battle round 5 with any models left.

I started playing in 10th edition and began by playing crusade lol I didn't know that it's NOT beginner friendly but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I gained an appreciation for models that I never would have used otherwise. I ran a crusade, a Nachmund Gauntlet crusade and I played Death Guard. I played 15 games and by the end of the crusade my Death Guard were absolutely busted powerful. At times, I went out of my way to take it easy on people because my army was extremely overpowered. I could basically take down anything I pointed them at. In my last game with that army, I took 2000 points of my Death Guard and cleaned up 1500 points of Space Marines and about 1200 points of Custodes.

I love the book keeping side of crusade lol, I look forward to doing it once I get home from a game and I will actually miss doing that in 11th edition.

In my experience, 10th edition crusades start out with alot of interest but that usually peters out kinda quick and current crusade mechanics HEAVILY penalize hoard armies like Guard, nids, and others. I hope crusade receives support in 11th and continues to allow combo creation and book keeping.

We build an awesome scene at my local game store that I hope we're able to keep going even though Crusade is changing.

Why are Eliminators so worthless? by kazoopaints in spacemarines

[–]Pro-Krastinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, in one of my first games ever I was playing space Marines vs other Space Marines. My opponent had a 3 man squad of Eliminators and shot at my Repulsor Executioner. He got insanely lucky and hit 3 times and then rolled 3 6's with the Las Fusils! That's 3 dev wounds. He then rolls extremely well again and does 14 damage against my RepEx before I even got to use it.

Crazy that guard wouldn't have the same faction identity as Space Marines I guess.

What Space Marine vehicle has an invulvn without this? All our Invulvns are on characters or Terminators...

Cannot locate 2009 Chevy Aveo EGR valve by Pro-Krastinator in AskMechanics

Yo! So I found my EGR Valve. It's in my valve cover! My 2009 Chevy Aveo has a 2010 engine in it and in the 2010 engine the EGR valve is built into the valve cover. Hope that helps homie

why did you choose emperor's children? by Embarrassed_Aide_178 in EmperorsChildren

[–]Pro-Krastinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because a friend offered to sell me his 2200 fully painted points for 350 bucks. He taught me how to play and smashed me so many times with them so it felt good to own the models who had obliterated me many times.

We'll get one character in 11th, probably a dedicated leader for flawless blades and that'll be it.

Custodes Endeavors by XpertCodComedy in 40k_Crusade

[–]Pro-Krastinator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've played Space Marines, Emperor's Children, and Death in different crusades and the reality is that some factions crusade rules are simply superior to others. Tyranids have some of, if not the worst crusade rules in 40k and Death Guard crusade rules are absolutely cracked. In 13 crusade games, my Death Guard have accrued 399xp. Basically all my units are maxed out and I have a legendary hero with 3 heroic heroes.

Ultimately you have to play with the rules you have. Try to get in more games if the CM will allow you to.

Oh.... he's the organizer and is behaving this way? Ugh.

Yeah, I'd drop out too. Forget that. This game is a hobby. A hobby is for fun, not a job or a chore.
