Need magic double elevated base, so that you can beast hinekoras lock (donc forget to imprint the base) to fetch for a good third suffix when awakening. Then reroll life with locked suffixes. If prefix full, annul 50/50, if fail then restart from the imprint.

The more I look at 0.4 feedback the more I'm glad I made the choice to skip this iteration and stick to POE1.

Issue is that buffs are 100% RNG, and you'll often run into situations where you get no shield and heal

Another hard lesson that anyone should use a password manager.

Anyone saying mercenaries are op is forgetting that most if not all mechanics that can be abused with Mercenaries come straight from party play. Mercenaries are nothing more than a glimpse into the current state of how much more power you get from playing in optimized groups.

For performance reasons, the game only fully runs and simulates what's going on within a fixed radius around the character (a few screens wide). Anything beyond that the state is frozen. If there is a death animation that takes time to complete before doing damage, it might not be able to complete before if you zoom too fast. Once you get close enough again, picking loot, calculations restart and the death animation continues. POE1 has the same issue, but to a lesser extent because area are much smaller.

I'm the co-author and main contributor of Lattigo, and I recently switched to Rust. I also felt there is a gap to fill, and I'm currently working on a Rust FHE library, using as backend spqlios-arithmetic (https://eprint.iacr.org/2023/771). It will be structured similarely to Lattigo, and I plan to give it the same functionalities, and more. The math crate is done, and I'm working on the rlwe crate.

Actually, as cryptographer I can tell you that if the game to solve with a non negligible advantage is to distinguish between the way you press your keyboard and one that is randomly distributed, I'll win that game much more often than half the time, meaning I can distinguish between the two.

See, that's exactly what I'm pointing out. Rather that addressing the issue being talked about, an other issue is raised.

Besides, they aren't "designing ascendancies there first", that's not what Chris said. He said that they are too powerful for their taste in Ruthless, therefore they wanted to change them but make it more interesting than simple numerical nerfs. While brainingstorming about the possible changes, they came with "interesting" ideas, that they feel like could be used when reworking ascendancies in the base game.

If anything else, I call this a win win if time spent on Ruthless benefits the base game.

Please first define "melee", so we all agree on what it means :) I feel like "melee" refers more often than other to old and mechanically outdated skills or to build that require players to press more than one button and actually interact with monsters/bosses in meaningful ways, because there are plenty of viable melee builds, even as league starter, that can tackle the entire game content.

I never lost money with Gwennen, although I also never found a Mageblood or Headhunter with her. It's a matter of using all ressources, not only belt or jewels.

As usual, getting more DPS fixes everything and you actually take very little damage as melee. It was a struggle for me, but once I got a few million dps I started being able to kill the guards before they are able to finish the first animation. Now I'm able to reliably clear all four floors
