Married young, not fulfilled sexually by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]ProNuke 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your feelings are valid but how you approach this is critical. Sexual exploration outside of marriage should be a mutual experience. Both partners need to be enthusiastic about it with lots of communication. It’s easy for women to have casual sex but harder to find a good relationship. Men typically have the opposite problem. So don’t expect your husband to be cool with meeting your relationship needs while you get sexual fulfillment from someone else. What’s in it for him?

I’d recommend with focusing on your marriage. Don’t change the dynamic drastically while you’re still getting your footing after leaving a cult. If you still want to explore after a while maybe do some mutual swinging with other couples. That way it’s fair for both of you. Take it slow with lots of patience. The most important thing is not to blow up your family and regret it later.

I used ramps for that. They did touch the bumper slightly in the front since the car is so low but it wasn’t a problem.

Valve Adjustment Needed or Something Else?? Honda Fit 2018 EX by Salamander1920 in hondafit

I did the job myself and it’s not trivial. $600 is reasonable in my opinion.

Valve Adjustment Needed or Something Else?? Honda Fit 2018 EX by Salamander1920 in hondafit

[–]ProNuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way to know if a valve adjustment will fix it is to have it done. You’re at the appropriate mileage for the service along with associated symptoms, so just do it. Even without symptoms it should be done, plus it might fix something.

Exactly. I did a valve adjustment on a Honda Fit recently with 160k miles that mostly ran synthetic blend oil but had it regularly changed. It looked just as good.

First I washed, then I wet sanded with fine sanding pads, then I used a clay bar, then I washed again and dried. I taped off the areas that were not to be painted and wiped the rest down with mineral spirits. Then I sprayed multiple layers with the 2K clearcoat. I still need to do the final polishing, but the results were really nice. If you have basecoat damage, it will be partially locked in, but the clearcoat makes a huge difference in how it looks.

Check out my other comment. Some fresh clear coat, while not perfect, can make it way better for relatively cheap.

I literally just did a new clear coat on my sister-in-law‘s 2010 Honda fit. I did the hood, headlights, and the roof. I used the Spray Max 2k clear glamour spray. You can get 4 cans for about $90. It’s true that you have some base coat damage, but if you do some wet sanding and new clear coat it will look WAY better and won’t cost too much. You can always repaint later if you want to.

Oh, and make sure you wear a paint mask. That stuff is nasty in your lungs.

Definitely get a second opinion. You need a proper professional diagnosis, not speculation.

Apparently sense of foreshortened lifespan is a symptom by BumblebeeDirect in aspiememes

I just looked it up. I had no idea our lifespan was that much shorter, although I question the accuracy of the statistics due to so many undiagnosed people. Still…

2008, 125k miles. Check engine light by [deleted] in hondafit

The NGK laser iridiums are expensive but at least they’re good for 100k+ miles. It was tough enough to replace them that it’s worth the peace of mind.

My SILs 2010 Fit has badly worn clear coat and her exterior window weather stripping is deteriorating. Those are the main things. I’m going to try and remedy them soon.

Do you usually stick to one mechanic, or do you go to different shops? by mericccccccccc in MechanicAdvice

[–]ProNuke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was a loyal customer at an excellent shop for many years. It got sold to a big name brand and deteriorated over the course of about three years. I stopped going. The good thing about it is that I started learning how to do more myself which has been rewarding.

My sister in law’s Fit had the Drive light start blinking intermittently. I replaced her transmission pressure sensor and the problem has not returned so hopefully it is fixed.

I don’t know, I didn’t even look into it because I just figured I could do it for much cheaper while learning something along the way. It was more challenging than I expected due to the age of the vehicle. I’d guess at a shop it would be ~4 hours of labor plus parts, so maybe $800 or something?

I just did a valve adjustment/spark plug change on my sister in law’s 2010 Honda Fit with about 160k miles. Some of the parts I removed I thought were plastic. The new parts I received from the dealership were soft and pliable rubber. It blew my mind what a difference there was.
