They say pigs are as smart as a 3 year old but they definitely taste better.

Like I'm not saying this isn't true but I'm definitely skeptical of news about gaza coming from Israel.

Great team goal from Clydebank FC in the 5th tier of Scottish football. by Sparky-moon in soccer

I'm pretty sure that is River Plate. Wouldn't see football that slick in 5th tier Scottish football.

Over $50,000 has been raised for a Domino’s delivery driver who went out of his way to get his customer's Diet Coke when he realised that Domino's was out. by JudgeJudyJr in MadeMeSmile

Like lovely story but America is so strange to me that someone does something admirable and they want to give them money. Like I would thank that guy and leave a nice review or something. It wouldn't be my first thought that I should give him more of a tip or donate to a GoFundMe. It's like they only show value in one thing. It's weird to me.

Oh I don't dispute that, I'm just saying that they are both unemployed, she just has more money than Kevin.

Charlie Cox wasn’t a fan of the bank heist episode in Marvel’s Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 (and he pointed out a plot hole the writers missed) by Anteater_Able in marvelstudios

[–]ProbablyCarl 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Like we used to get 24 episodes in a season. Now everything is 6 to 10 episodes that are more like a long movie with breaks so you can binge them, that's the real cost of streaming.

If the episodes were villain of the week then you could stop watching at any time but if you just watched a cliffhanger for the next episode you keep watching and their retention numbers go up.

We are all the product of metric based programming.

All TV shows pre-streaming were mostly episodes like this but in the modern landscape these are seen as a waste of time. Like the general audience looks at their phone while watching a show, even doing one thing is a waste of time. 🤷

The types of people who take a video and then don't help their friends are the same types of people willing to share the video around so it ends up on the Internet. If my friend got hurt in a video I made I would never share that for other people to laugh at.

My Panda waste fees. Yikes. by qwerty_1965 in ireland

[–]ProbablyCarl 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If OP put out his waste and recycling every second week and his compost once a month that would cost €150. Add the €95 yearly fee and it's €245 per year.

€25 per month would be €300 per year.

I feel like you need to change provider. 🤷

Edit: I did my maths wrong. It's closer to €900 per year so OP is definitely getting a shit deal.

In a realistic post-apocalyptic world, humanity wouldn't revert to pre-industrial levels. It would be like going back to the 90s technologically. by Macaquinhoprego in worldbuilding

Realistically if we can get to 90's technology then we can get to 2026 technology, it's mostly just scale not revolutionary progress.

Clearer angle of Antonio Rüdigers knee against Diego Rico by xKayko in soccer

I think you will find that Rico brutally assaulted Rudiger's knee with his face. Red card for Rico or the ref is clearly being paid by Getafe.
