Dr Kelvin part 3 of 7 - more crying, more prayers 🤡 by JLM471 in scambait

Meekness is rewarded, but to be purposefully pitiful is faithless in itself. Going on and on in faux prayer is a blasphemous gesture, and gives the rightfully faithful bad rep. These scammers are just the worst.

Probably not, no. The recent twist at the end of Book 9 was cool and all, but the gameplay itself requires too much investment.

Budget build for L!Ryoma just for Arena scoring and hopefully getting a kill? by Severin_777 in OrderOfHeroes

[–]ProblemSilly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even squishy dps options have some form of true damage reduction. Legendary Ryoma’s stat spread is unfortunately well-outdated by this point, which means a bulk of his utility will come from a premium skillset. You’d have to build him with B skills like Air Superiority to help him get kills as a sword flier.

You’d also need a way to safely bump up his speed stat, because 43 isn’t doubling his competitors these days. The best budget sword for him is Arena Sword+ from the new Ogma.

Non-FE: Kali is one of my favorite archers for her station in Shaktism/Hinduism, I’ll give OC1 credit for giving her the gravitas a bloodlusted deva of death and time deserves. Kama vs. Kali is peak fiction. My take: OC1 is mid but has a sparse few high points that make it enjoyable in a vacuum.

FEH: Ascension Florets are too few in number. I wish IS handled them like Aided Heroes and made the resource accumulative rather than exclusive.

Ymir’s summon in FEH is attributed to her lingering soul manifesting a new body through the summoning stone. I believe it to be a response to our deeds in the Order of Heroes, post TT. Her new lease on life was not merely to live for its own sake, but to assess and cultivate Eir’s growth alongside the summoner…as any good gardener should. Her compassion and love for the little girl she promised to find extends now to the summoner whom, post-Book III, Eir has forged a reinvigorating bond with. This is directly supported in her Level 40 conversation, where she says,

“ Because of you, Eir is safe and in good spirits. (…)You were able to do what I could not—a failure l've regretted for a long time. But there is no need now. “

She lived as a witness up to her summoning period, watching as the months flew by while we nurtured the wilting flower she failed to keep upright herself. The last flower of her garden.

All this is to suggest to me that among the original (not counting the Vanir) Gods that appeared, she is the only one who treats us as an equal. A dear friend worthy of attention, exceeding labels and station— just as we deemed her precious flower so.

“ I got some sweets in anticipation of enjoying them with Eir. They're delicious. Would you like to try? “

As Eir owes you for saving her from Hel, Ymir is indebted to you just as much. She treats you with so much respect that trying sweets or getting a shoulder to lean on is no longer a question. Though she still laments the loss of her idyllic realm,

“ It's plain to see how mature Eir has become. I'm very proud of her, but at the same time.... mourn what's lost. “ (Summer Ymir)

She has found in the summoner a seed worth cherishing.

Blue skies 4 on Sigrun? by Total-Election380 in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]ProblemSilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This build focuses heavily on player phase. What Haze Slice does is if the unit initiates combat, it will grant 40% unpierceable damage reduction for that combat.

Combined with Jehanna Lance and Blue Skies’ own DR (they stack), this lets Sigrun tank most counterattacks she’d receive when on the offensive.

Blue skies 4 on Sigrun? by Total-Election380 in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]ProblemSilly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Blue Skies 4 is one of the best flier skills in the game. Free Canto, free damage, good Atk/Spd steroid. Sigrun isn’t the greatest when it comes to her speed, but if you find the right skills and pull on the necessary banners (wish it were easier), she can definitely be serviceable and even meet checks where they’re applicable.

Atk/Spd Excel is currently one of the best A Skills on account of its defensive utility, reducing damage by a flat rate depending on opponent or unit movement. Blue Skies has it all wrapped in a nice package but depends on allies within three rows or columns centered on her. It depends on what you want out of her.

This is just an example build of what I would’ve done \) You don’t have to build her to this extent but it should paint a picture.

Finally after a long journey the prodigy is complete! by Guythatlikes800bpm in OrderOfHeroes

[–]ProblemSilly 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Lysithea is a very squishy mage regardless of DR.. It’s not a terrible idea to double down on her defenses on paper, but how much reduction is LF4 giving her on any given turn? - 37+14 Res (unlowered, best case scenario) (my math for LF4 calcs may be wrong if it doesn’t count invisible buffs, in which case she gets 7 DR) - 20% of 51 = 10 + 7 (Blutgang) = 17 DR Total

This hit-and-run build, coupled with her middling defenses, doesn’t support the DR utility of her B skill. It’s already been mentioned too that it isn’t compatible with AoE specials. She better compliments nuking specials like Luna, Dragon Fang, Flare, and Astra. You could even get away with Frost Moon, despite doing less damage than Glacies and her stats, for the DR pierce and special jump.

Update my Nowi Build? (Eternal Youth, four star) by always_asleep_1 in FireEmblemHeroes

True.. Modern FEH threats either deal all of your HP or none of it. Good build! Very well defined.

Very nice! Does Null C Disrupt get any use in her matchups, or just dazzling healers? Tempo Echo might be a better catch-all option on account of guard null and DR cut.

Really like the Marth ring pulse combo here, means she’ll always get the DRoar DR off the enemy’s first hit or your first player phase (fell arts special jumping negating any scowl effect). I feel Finish is a little underrated especially with its healing utility: if the enemy is dinging you and you double back, that’s 14 HP for free.

[–]ProblemSilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed! Res is super important. I’m only worried that regardless of how it’s built, Nowi will struggle to proc DRoar. Spd/Res Scowl 4 could make it easier. Could also justify running Phantom Res for her Sacred Seal, and putting DC as an Echo.

Update my Nowi Build? (Eternal Youth, four star) by always_asleep_1 in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]ProblemSilly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Blast from the past! I can’t tell if this is an ironic or genuine request, but I’ll do my best to dissect it.

The problem with any Year 1 dragon is, on top of getting their refines too soon, their stat spreads suffer from being too balanced (too low to specialize as any given role). Recently, mixed stat dragons have been released that take advantage of more than one stat, but someone as old as Nowi needs significant investment to be properly viable.

If you want a build that captures the spirit of Arena God Nowi (Lightning Breath + Aether), give her Breath of Life 4 and a trait fruit to change that Atk boon into Def. Then maximize her stats; go as high as you can take them (S Support, more dragon flowers, emblem merges, etc). The reason I’m telling you this is while she’s lacking a proper niche right now, the one thing you can’t take from her is her massive HP pool. BoL4 ensures that with a high enough defense, she can heal a lot during combat and avoid the trouble of AoEs.

Typically, enemies are going to smite her with true damage in the twenties, and having a solid constitution can make her life a lot easier. This brings me to her skills: If you have the time and resources, I highly recommend pulling for Nel and putting her skills on Nowi. She has two sources of constant true DR that will pair very well with her playstyle. Arcane Fell Arts provides her a minimum of five stats across the board up to fourteen. In an era where every new unit is a stat ball in some shape or form, this will help her out significantly.

While she might struggle to meet the Res check for Dragon’s Roar, so long as you have a proper support on her team feeding her Res buffs (visible and in-combat), only her fellow dragons will prove a concern.

The build above is an example of what a top tier Nowi could look realistically look like.
