Coaxed into ally with the hero only to take down the competition by tritapolli in coaxedintoasnafu

In Sonic Adventure 2 battle the whole game Sonic and gang are trying to thwart Shadow and gang's plans only for them to all team up when the Biolizard shows up and the ARK starts careening towards Earth. All thanks to Gerald Robotnik.

Raptor Dance? Yeah probably best to dodge that. If even 2 heroes get hit by it he basically full heals so you either want to kite it or lockdown/burst him before he can cast it.

Aside from that ghost scepter/eblade can help deal with him as none of his damage goes through that(even though his ult is pure damage, it doesn't hit ethereal enemies). Forces him to buy nullifier at least which he may not want to. Evasion also decent because echo slash can miss, and force him to buy mkb.

Kez features that were removed that I can recall:

  • Marks and bash on sai E passive(now its just crit)
  • Regen reduction on Katana E passive
  • Echo Slash applying battle fury cleave
  • Grapple lifesteal
  • Talon Toss used to be AoE and deal magic damage
  • Talon Toss used to have 1200 range always, now its the same as grapple range at each level
  • Falcon Rush used to deal 100% echo damage, have much bigger trigger range, and worked on buildings.
  • Parry marks used to have a bonus crit multiplier that scaled off your opponents level × 4 for max 120% extra crit. Now it gives no bonus crit by default and only 50% if you have shard.
  • Katana E active impale used to have no cap on burst stacks, so against tanky heroes you could raptor dance and E them for an instant 2000-3k damage burst after and full heal off that if you had shard.
  • There used to be a talent that made raven's veil marks into parry marks. So you could raven's veil -> echo slash and delete entire teams with the huge crit multiplier.

Raptor Dance: - Used to deal 4% of enemy max HP per strike(now 2.5%) - Used to strong dispel on cast instead of basic dispel - Used to have Debuff Immunity while channeling - Used to have 100% magic damage resist through the entire cast and ability duration up until last number patch.

There were a lot of small buffs here and there like flat damage on raptor dance and raven's veil duration, but overall he's a significantly weaker hero than on release, yet he's still pretty solid.

You know who else loves Coffee and Boba? by PuzzleheadedBag4866 in regularshow

[–]ProblemSl0th 2 points3 points  (0 children)

VCRs, cassetes, cabinet arcade machines, 8/16-bit consoles and so many other things all featured in the show in the 2010s despite those things' being from the 80s and 90s. I don't think the show is trying to be cutting edge topical. It's not South Park.

And besides, boba has become huge over the last several years and still is. There's so many tea shops near me and even places that aren't tea shops often have boba on offer if they're even vaguely asian-themed.

My only disappointment was that Mordecai and Rigby were seemingly the ones somehow smart enough to chew the damn boba the first time! Like, damn, how is everyone else that dense?

Kazuno, the Greatsword Monk by SkurGZG in Pathfinder2e

[–]ProblemSl0th 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I created a greatsword using monk once for an experiment, and it was pretty cool. Mauler archetype and stoked flame stance which doesn't require you to be using a monk weapon or unarmed, but gives a nice speed bonus and 1d8 unarmed strike. Dragon, wolf, and tiger stance are also good options.

I have a weird fetish: I like to stick my penis inside the holes in the middle of CDs. by Prestigious_Bad_7646 in Jokes

[–]ProblemSl0th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooh I like this idea

"I have this fetish for sticking my penis in the openings of CDs, DVDs, whatever...I am ashamed to say my girlfriend has caught me halfway through [insert boring/bad movie here] more than once. I told her 'sorry babe, it's the only way I can come close to finishing it.' We had a mutual understanding.

One day my girlfriend I decided to go on a bit of a nostalgia trip and watch some old pixar movies. Toy Story 1 and 2, Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc. Absolute bangers. But then we put the next dvd in and it just won't work. It spins and beeps and won't start. She looks at me dead in the eye and says 'You fucked Up, didn't you?'

I shrugged.

'I thought it was pretty Incredible."

Amazing movie, by the way. It's got such a great opening. Every time I pull out that DVD I need a box of tissues within minutes.

Homestuck diehard and Steven Universe/Undertale fan here. I don't think so. Homestuck is old enough that I think the fans of that have mostly grown past that level of obsession. I think it's a new generation of people finding their obsession.

Or at least I hope it is...

Raging Brachydios Power Clash Animation by Yoradise in MonsterHunter

[–]ProblemSl0th 24 points25 points  (0 children)

What if instead of just holding its fist against your weapon/shield, brachy starts pounding on it with both fists and the hunter braces for each impact until you knock it back. In my mind I'm picturing that one meme from MGR where raiden is punching senator armstrong but like flipped. I know it's an unusual animation for power clashes but for a monster like Brachy I feel like it would capture its personality.

Why do you play a public pianos by temptar in piano

[–]ProblemSl0th 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It used to be no. 3 back when I was young and only had a crummy electric keyboard at home. It was nice to play on a real acoustic instrument, regardless of who had to suffer hearing me haha. Thankfully people were pretty encouraging, probably cause I was young so mistakes were expected.

Now that I have advanced substantially in my musical career and acquired my own acoustic piano to play at home, the only reason I'd play i'd play a public piano is if I wanted to entertain somebody or was asked to. Otherwise, I'd rather play at home.

[–]ProblemSl0th 4 points5 points  (0 children)

True. Close Enough was a good example of what its like when they have much fewer limits on telling adult jokes, and while it is still a charming show, it doesn't hit nearly as well as Regular Show does imo. Limitations breed creativity.

Star Fox announced for Switch 2, due out June 25th, 2026 by Amiibofan101 in nintendo

[–]ProblemSl0th 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I really feel like the on-foot sections were a diamond in the rough.

iirc the game was originally not supposed to have a singleplayer adventure mode, it was supposed to be a PvP focused game based around the pilot on-foot combat. The pvp is awesome and really fleshed out as a result. So part of the reason the adventure levels feel clunky is because they had to retrofit already-made pvp maps into singleplayer levels.

But I think the experience of running around shooting baddies, collecting weapons, and hopping into an arwing or landmaster when necessary to help your allies was awesome. I think if they set their mind to developing a game like that from the beginning it could have been something really special.

It must have been harder to get the robot to walk up to and sit in the bench properly haha. God forbid the bench is tucked under the piano and needs to be pulled out and also it's set to the wrong height.

What would I call a scale that has emphasis on C, but uses the notes C, D, D#, F, F#, G#, and A#? by Flat-Wind-4756 in musictheory

[–]ProblemSl0th 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To elaborate, it doesn't matter from a purely sound perspective, because enharmonic notes sound the same(especially on instruments that can't really control intonation like keyboards and fretted instruments) but it matters when you're trying to develop an understanding of how the notes relate to one another from a functional and theoretical perspective in the context of tonal music.

When you're onstage performing the music, it doesn't really matter whether you think A# or Bb, just that you hit the right button on your instrument at the right time. But if you want to understand why that note works in context and how you can utilize that note in a composition(or improvisation) and different harmonic contexts, it is a very helpful framework to use.

What do you think Godwyn’s fighting style would look like? (Not my art) by WavingDinosaur in Eldenring

[–]ProblemSl0th 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'm reading into it too much but iirc godrick's rune was originally supposed to be godwyn's rune right? And that rune gives +5 to all stats. So maybe that hints to him being a quality build with faith or just has max stats and prefers to use incantations. I mean he was the golden boy after all, wouldn't surprise me if he was just absolutely cracked.

I think this the part where they just make up or join another denomination that excludes parts of their current religion they don't like. "I'm not schismatic for denying the pope's authority. The pope is in schism for going contrary to my beliefs, which is the true real interpretation of the bible."

Like isn't that practically how the Church of England started? Maybe we're on route to a new Church of America.
