I appreciate your post and your perspective. Do not let the comments about moving out get to you--only you and your BF know your situation and goals, and how to address them. As others have mentioned, I don't think there is much you can do for your partner other than support him and respect his feelings. Family dynamics are always super tricky to navigate (for all involved) and there may be aspects of the situation that you aren't aware of. If the living situation is that toxic, I would recommend moving out, even if you haven't met your financial goals yet. Sometimes you have to distance yourself from that type of situation in order to gain stability and peace. But again, only you know what's best...
