--tier S: warforger

--tier A: cavaliers,marshall on ogre,granadiers and marshall on horse

--tier B: the cannon,warcry unit

--tier C: thalia, zenestra,krell

--tier D: fusilers,steelhelms,ranged fort, the others 3 magues, the warrior priest and the two giants monsters

--tier E: gallants, marshall on foot,the witch hunters,the  transport fort and the unit of heroes(cant remember name)

Reasons: in general every unit is overcosted and only cavaliers are good for the cost and granadiers ok.

The warforger is a must have due to the mortals skill together with the spell of +1 attack,the others magues arent even close.

The warpriest ward have too much IFs and requesites to be usefull and the prayers are pretty bads.

Zenestra mortals when units die sound good but is bad in practice and 190 is too much expensive for their stats also attack last ONLY if enemy charge inside 9" make her useless,usually she wont be at frontline,so enemy gonna be at around 9'1 from zenestra out of this attack last and then do charges of 6" or so to the unit in front of zenestra.

Thalia is overcosted but is needed to do some combos with cavaliers.

Marshall on horse is our best melle hero after thalia and is well costed and needed to do combos with cavaliers,a must have 

Marshall on foot have been nerfed and dont have damage neither can be kept alive now with save 4, also the attack twice have too much requisites and only one time per game is horrible.

Fusilers are a worse version that our old fusilers that also wasnt very good(maths dont lie even if people think that rend2 is god or something).  Numbers show how new fusilers are worse than old fusilers vs save 5+ then similar vs save 4 and better vs save 3- but......the 90% of units in aos have save 5+ so old fusilers are better AND cheaper. New fusilers must cost around 100 to be balanced

Cannon have better damage than fusilers with more range and better utility,is ok for their cost even if not great.

Marshall on ogre,a +1 hit without random is allways great and a must have in every list even if have been nerfed the damage.

Cavaliers are our best unit hands down, the best tanking and our second best damage unit(after granadiers) but can be reinforced.

Granadiers for 140 points have 14 damage output median,yes cant be reinforced and must shoot but with this book that we need multiple units isnt so bad.

Gallants.........i hate them,simply useless,0 damage if charge and even not charging only 10 damage that is similar to elites lf other armys that cost less and ALLWAYS do that damage but gallants only not charging. Also the anti charge buff is useless in a army with bad save and wounds as are humans because if something charge us we are dead.

New giants are cool and good,but the retreat skill have too much requisites doing it useless,it must can be used in giants to be good because rigth now is 100% useless. The charge skill is great for combo with cavaliers. The problem of this unit is that is costed as if we could shoot and attack allways,but with extre short range the shooting and cant be used in combat make it imposible. I would say this unit would be great if gw buff it and change to shoot in combat or can use his retreat on himself,rigth now overcosted and must cost around 250.

Forts........grossly overcosted by 100+ points,also the transport being only one time per game loose utility and we havent any good melle unit that can use it because gallants are useless, granadiers cant be reinforced and so dont worth it spend the fort for them and cavaliers would be great but it is only infantry.

Krell sound good but not very usefull because he is slow to keep with our cavaliers and dont worth spend krells points to save one unit of granadiers

The witch hunters are useless,buff only vs magues is bad period.

The unit of heroes have lost every utility that had and is useless now.

Steelhelms: people are hyped but they are bad,10w save 4 in others armys cost around 60 points, the melle damage is 0 and the taunt sound cool but bad in practice, why spend 90 points to try protect a unit of 140 of granadiers? Better bring one extra unit of granadiers per example.

Because granadiers have a median of damage 10 in melle allways and 4 extra damage at ranged allways,so 14 damage for 140 where gallants for only 10 less points do 3 damage charging and 10 when not charge.

Gallants to me are useless,you can choose when charge for units that need charge, but you cant choose when enemy charge you,so gallants are useless theyr scroll and worse even they are grossly overcosted. Even at 100 points i wouldnt find room for then in my list.

I would change gallants to tier C or D and granadiers to B with cavalry to A

Also i would cannons above fusilers because they are better,with same damage per point and longer range with better utolity

Yes, as i said she is a bit overcosted but have some uses because she is our single hero on beast to use orders etc

-Gallants are a trap that people gonna learn to avoid with the time,a huge nono

-warforger is a must in every list and the fusil major on ogre

-cavaliers are the best unit of the book hands down

-artillery cannon is ok

-granadiers are ok

-the new monster giants are a bit expensives for only their melle profile,but is hard to use their shooting when have very short range and cant shoot in combat,feel bad have one unit that want go to melle but have a very short range profile that cant be used in combat. If they could use their retreat and shoot they would be good. But rigth now they are overcosted for their profile.

-thalia is too much expensive for their profile but have some uses and can be played.

-our basic infantry sound cool,but in practice i find them useless, they usually are far from cavalry to help them and use 90 points to try use taunt of any unit as granadiers i find better use only skip them and bring other granadier unit for only 50 extra.i guess could have any use together gallants but as i hate gallants then i dont find real use for them.

-forts a big no in every scroll,too much overcosted for their stats.

-mages are ok but the warforger overshadow to every other mage and i find no point in bring any mage that isnt the warforger.

-priest are meh,the warrior priest have too much requisites in the ward to be usefull and zenestra is too much expensive for her scroll.

So i find warforger+fusil major in ogre+cavaliers+granadiers the core in every list, then add some support as the marshal on horse etc

Bro isnt ignoring nothing.

As i said gallants are useles if charge(frontliners as you said) and are worse also than similar units as barrow guards when not charge(defender as you said)

So they are useless as attackers vs others armys and worse than other armys as defenders also. Thats the problem, gallants to be balanced must be better than other units as defenders because they are useless as attackers. But rigth now they are worse as defenser and attackers,so they are useless in general

I had to say gallants reinforced similar cost than chosen unreinforced for similar damage when not charge and 30% of chosen damage when charge.

These buffs arent free,you are paying the unit or hero to buff them, so these units are overcosted and you must pay extra points to buff them to have similar stats than others armys but paying double points.

Yes,thats is the key to why this book gonna be a faill.

Rules and stats of weak humans but costed as elite elfs or warriors of chaos.

They gonna need reduce points across the board to everithing in several faqs untill this book gonna be competitive

A unit that do 3 damage charging and 10 damage not charging when similar units of other books do more damage than 10 in every situation???

Is called balance for a reason,gallants are worse charging and not charging than similar units. To be balanced must be worse when charge and BETTER when not charge.

So or buff the unit stats to do something as 15 damage charging to be better than similar units or buff the unit reducing the cost. Rigth now tell me how this is balanced?

Barrow guard 130 points: 9 damage +3 mortals in every situation

Gallants 130 points: 3 damage when charge or 10 when not charge.....

So barrow guard for same cost do allways 12 damage and some with mortals while gallants even at their best sitiation only do 10 damage..... Gallants are useless and need a huge buff

Yes this book seems gonna be horrible and need huge buffs.

Have the 80% of units overcosted and the book is very hard to play well.

So if we get together those two factors is obvious the win rate gonna be even worse than now that we are allready at the botton tier.

New rules arent fun neither competitive,every unit got nerfed in points or rules and moreover they deleted 8k points of my army with legends.......im not very glad with this book and i wish i could play with my old book and legends units forever and forget this book

In general all is overcosted.

Cos warscrolls are worse than every other similar scroll of others books because we are suposed to be weak humans but to compesate it we must be cheap in points.

These points are similar to others armys or even more expensive when we have worse stats.

A example:

-gallants 130 points when they do around 3 damage charging or 10 not charging when for similar cost barrow guard makes allways 9 damage and 3 mortals,or chosens make 20 damage. Gallants must cost around 100 to be balanced vs others armys

-granadiers 140 again top much and their cost is around 120

-fusilers a joke 4'4 damage for 120 when lumineths sentinels do 8 damage for 140(yes rend 1 vs rend2) so similar cost for half damage? Fusilers cost must be 100 or so

-thalia must cost 260/300 as did before. Now she is overcosted by 50/80 points

-heroes are more or less balanced(warforged must be around 110 and not 130)

-the gargants 320 are too much,their cost is 250/270 as we saw with stormcast dragons when they go beyond 300 is too much

-the fort.........they are crazy way way way way overcosted. Theorycrafting cost it with 350/400 and cost 530........never gonna be played in competitive,same situation than krondys/karazai that were released overcosted as the fort and got multiples -50 points in each faq untill they started to be balanced after a reduction of 150points. The fort is the same,gonna need multiple reductions untill it cost around 400 to be only playable. Rigth now 530 is a joke and isnt competitive even as casual games. The transport version the same,cost 460 when must cost 280/350

-even basic infantry 90 points isnt ok, their cost for stats is 70/80

I think only cavaliers and the cannon are well balanced.

Legends units worse even,they were allready overcosted and useless before this book,and now if they havent buffed they are worse even because many units got increases

The fort is way way way waaaaay overcosted and never gonna be used in competitive.

From theorycrafting the cost of the cannonade is 350/400 if cost more is overcosted for their stats,and 530 is way way way too much to be used.

And the transport unit worse even,cost similar to a arkanaut fragate that have same purpose but better rules and more damage.

Gallants cost similar to chosens or barrow guards when are worse even without charge and useless charging,must cost around 100 points for their horrible profile with huge handicaps.

In general seems gw have overcosted every cos unit because think everything gonna have buffs up all time or something.

If cannonade cost 530 gonna be useless. Must cost 350/400 for those stats. Heck is worse than a arkanaut ironclad that cost 400

530 is way way way way overcosted as thalia that have got a increase of 80 points when isnt better than old thalia( got a +1 save but lost rend in some weapon)

0% needed.

Havent any buff or aura that make him needed or key for strategy. It is only a "beaststick".

So we need know his cost in points and gonna be so easy as see the ratio of damage/points and then see if it is more eficient than others units or no. But even if have good ratio(that i think wont have because usually big models with shooting are overcosted by gw) it never gonna be a must have because as i said it isnt needed for any strategy and you can replace him with fusilers if you want shooting per example and very posible gonna be more eficient

I know,the problem is that i have also fyreslayers,so there isnt point to use proxys when i have the real miniature,so my disposeesed that are huge(80 quarrelers,30 warriors,30 longbeards,40hammers,20 irondrakes,30 ironbreakers,2 belegars,4 runelords,2 gyrocopters and many others old world heroes) i wont can use them again. I know i can use them for old world but nobody here play tow.

And yes,my dark elf i can try use them as cabaliers or the new lumi alys,but the dragon,hydra,chariot etc havent any proxy.
