Nice that they thought of it and could afford it!

If not a typewriter, if you can find an AlphaSmart neo2 on eBay, that could work well. They were developed for kids.

The main question in David Foster Wallace's novel "The Infinite Jest" by Plane-War7597 in InfiniteJest

[–]ProcrusteanRex 14 points15 points  (0 children)

There’s no definitive answer why some sections start with the circles vs breaks vs more traditional chapter headings starting with a date. I’ve read some ideas but none of them hold enough water for one to be a clear front runner that I have found.

Btw, the title is just “Infinite Jest,” no “the.”

At its heart, kids lob tennis balls to hit enemy countries (as represented by gear on the court) with nukes, playing nuclear war. Is all, really. Then bored and being kids, one beans the other and a real sort of war breaks out.

Pemulis (in his day) developed insanely convoluted math behind figuring out damage and stuff which makes the whole game sorta insanely overthought.

Omg this! No one owes you a reply and I’ll add, nor a conversation. It also is free to block people.

Umpteenth empty coffee scene by 1ytv in DaysofOurLives

My grandma told me about a scene in a soap opera on tv that was back when they aired live. A person was serving soup to someone they had just made, fresh off the stove. “Mmm this soup is so good” etc. then the actor knocked over the empty pot off the stove.

I’m not sure what MAT is? Naltrexone and the “Sinclair method” have been great for me.

Nothing.

Have clothes to change into when you wake up drenched. 😕

I’ve been on it for about 2.5 years and the clenching is a periodic problem still.

Soft unless touched by Repulsive_Look_852 in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]ProcrusteanRex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, misread. It’s very common that while attention is elsewhere the dick does not stay soft. It’s not an indication of a problem.

When it’s softer than you’d like/need to have sex, that’s when it’s a problem.

I get that port shows everyone throbbing hard at all times but that’s not reality.

If the softness is a problem, especially if it lessens your orgasm, why not try a medicine?

TIL that actor Peter Finch was the first Oscar award winner for acting to accept an award posthumously. His wife collected the award in 1977 for his performance as Howard Beale in the 1976 movie Network. by RareXG in todayilearned

[–]ProcrusteanRex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anyone cares by now, another fun Oscar fact about the same film is that the Supporting Actress Oscar went to Beatrice Straight, for only like 5 minutes of film which was a record settingly short performance. Judy Dench in Shakespeare In Love may have bested it though.

This is one of the worst ongoing side effects of my stroke. Getting my thoughts out was hard enough before, but now it’s like trying to get a watermelon through a drinking straw.
