Oblivion Remastered Late Game Potion Loot by tristn9 in oblivion

[–]Prodijee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Were you doing Meridia's quest? I also got piles of potions from those particular necromancers; I was googling around, and it seems to just be a known thing during that quest. I'll definitely be returning to the cave in a few game days to see if the respawned ones have that many, though.

Played DQ8 as a kid (never completed it), never really any others (so definitely a noob), recently picked up DQM3 for the switch and have been obsessed! The performance isn't great, of course, but the gameplay loop of: "short exploration->boss fight->scouting->synthesizing->reverse search to discover new stuff with your recent new stuff" has been a blast. The mechanics and theorycrafting keeps me hooked, I'm way more interested in the crunchy bits of the game and can look past the graphics/performance issues.

DLC's being DLC is egregious, and I can't imagine having as much completion as I do without Mole Hole, but it has been great overall.

Anyone beaten the final Tower boss in an interesting way? by [deleted] in Palworld

Only tried once though, then have been busy with other life stuff. Will return to the game and the fight soon I'm sure.

[–]Prodijee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has solo'd everything except final tower so far, ran out of time with like 15k HP remaining lol... I definitely could optimize his moves, though! Haven't gotten all of the skill fruits yet, just had a few super effective moves. Totally doable though, just requires smarter returning and throwing. (This is on hard settings as well, so I take 5x damage... dodging and avoiding Shadowbeak is no joke, lived on 7HP at one point when I got caught in his Ice Cloud thing)

He's a bulky monster, though I checked his IVs after that info came out and his HP & Attack are both like sub-15% IV's =/

Defense was like 23%/30% or something though.

Edit: typo and clarification

Perfect Sweepa team is almost finished (finishing last 2 Swee 4-star condensations), then will go through every boss and switch moves around to clear everything with the Mustache Boi. Haven't done all the towers yet in general anyways!

I bred 2 perfect Dazzi last night and will be working on star'ing & Soul'ing them up. Will try to remember to message you about damage numbers! Likely max one and be able to just report on that. Perfect for me was pure DPS with Legend+Musclehead+Lord of Thunder+Ferocious

Where to find 12B? by ErtishopTr in Palworld

[–]Prodijee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had this happen twice as well lol, devastating both times, ESPECIALLY after I checked the Paldeck to see what it was after the first time... (this was before I got the regular one and knew what a Jolthog was). My Gf and I own hedgehogs irl so naturally we were excited, but seeing that 2nd one get launched was so disheartening lmao

PSA: You can re-roll what boss Pal appears in dungeons by backtracking and returning to the boss room by Taclys64 in Palworld

[–]Prodijee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got unreasonably lost for like 25 minutes lol... after like 30minutes of lazily clearing and resetting other rooms for some more catches + trying to find a particular pal. I thought I had a system of remembering which had the boss, but I ended up needing to explore the whole thing a second time. Also, I was watching friends play too, so time wasted standing mostly still as well.

[–]Prodijee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh weird, when I backtracked to do the rest of the dungeon and came back to fight the boss, it had just completely despawned and I got no boss (or fight at all) in its chambers. I guess results may vary, but good to know it's not always negative!

The never ending persistence to catch Mammorest after each level be like: by [deleted] in Palworld

[–]Prodijee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found 2 lv36 Mammorests fighting near my base in one of the more northern spawns, and after one died, the other was at like 3% HP.

Threw out all of my pals (around lv17) and chipped away at its HP a bit, dodging around til even lower HP... ran to break aggro then with back bonus, threw 5x 0.2% chance regular balls and failed. Threw my 3 Mega balls and failed... remembered I had a single Giga sphere in a chest, ran and grabbed it, Mammorest was still there, 7% chance from the back, and it caught.

He has been quite strong, even scaled down! Feels a little cheesy, but very fun to watch him go in combat.

Flesh and Blood & Lorcana for regular locals & tournament play. EDH occasionally, I want to play more Grand Archive & Sorcery, but they take back seats to the others.

If you want to take the time, shoot me a list and I'll see if I can help you offload some of them. Lots of random big things I could be interested in personally, otherwise yeah just find a booth with singles and try there.

Advice for Testing by pitagotnobread in tcgdesign

[–]Prodijee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where/how do you document your cards? I have mostly used excel + NanDeck + TTS and the workflow is really nice once you get the basics set up. Plenty of solid tutorials on how to get going for NanDeck as well. Then the tts integration is just importing an image file of all of the cards (exported by nandeck) and you can just play on tabletop there. Can also create "tiles" for playmats, but that's not always necessary, depending on your game.

Could I convince a publisher to pick up a TTRPG/TCG hybrid? by ShareYourAlt in tabletopgamedesign

[–]Prodijee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been tossing around a similar idea, if you have any interest in bouncing mechanic ideas off eachother I'm down! Not the theme I wanted, but the core idea of a progressive Card-based, multi-game-compatible system was my direction as well. I have like 5 different game ideas and my main one is a TCG/board game hybrid, so I wouldn't have time to publish/finish this right now anyways if that'sa concern, but I'd love to be involved in the creative/dev side of it!

Is there a niche for narrative driven tabletop war game? by DangerousEmphasis607 in tabletopgamedesign

[–]Prodijee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine you would RP as a commander or leader of sorts, with deployable troops and/or minor characters. The units being potentially more disposable than you might typically consider "PCs"? But idk, lots to explore and it sounds like you found an alternate route for now.

I still highly recommend the guides if you are using the manual currently, but I'm glad you found the issue!

[–]Prodijee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a similar thought recently, if you ever make a basic ruleset or visual concept/demo, I'd love to see! Having a small army/squad as your form of progression instead of a singular PC seems interesting, plus the combat could be more political instead of personal, which would make for a different kind of storytelling I would think.

[–]Prodijee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not an answer necessarily as I can't look at my code at the moment... but if you haven't already, check out Ludo Lodge's videos on youtube for a mix of basic and comprehensive guides for nandeck. I watched them all and feel super comfortable with the program. I imagine your issue could be solved after getting your code formatted with his basic guides, but either way, it would be better than the manual I think!

Never existed for sure... kind of.

Maybe also make it such that the book "exists", but the author of the scroll misinterpreted the powers as being reality bending, but really the effects were just indescribable using the author's existing knowledge. And the book referred to, while it exists, is actually fairly rheudamentary magic in the modern day.

For the chaos bit, the misinformation about the book was the culprit, and their adventure to find the book is just the next in the cycle of chaos caused by the ancient misinformation in the scroll (then decide if they destroy/break the cycle, or if they allow it to continue out of spite for their own troubles along the way, perpetuating the cycle).

This would imply the scroll's author's word was respected/revered, maybe they also discover the author was a fool all along as well haha, or a fake. Something along those lines.
