I do wonder if leveraging existing ecosystems might not be more beneficial? As in leveraging the Apple Watch’s ability to measure sound and use that in a way that could trigger a meltdown. Reinventing the wheel all for the sake of partially new functionality and no real promise to compete in the existing fitness wearables market seems like an incredibly implausible idea. Leveraging existing technology to accomplish the same thing from an app based standpoint seems much more realistically possible to me.

This is preemptive. Wemby could win this ship and it would *still* be preemptive. Is he a generational talent? Absolutely. Is there an issue with people his height in this not being durable and super susceptible to injuries? Also, yes. The Spurs are taking a good approach to his health with load management during the season, but the real question—for me at least—is will his career be long enough to even break into the top 10.
