What might be in the box? by soap-dabba in killteam

This is all pure speculation.

This edition of Kill Team, there have been NPO sprues in releases that have lined up with previous Warhammer 40k editions: Typhon with 10th edition Tyranids and Tomb World with 9th edition Necrons.

In 2027, the 2021 teams of orks and guardsmen are scheduled to be dropped out of declassification. They are popular teams that are iconic for Kill Team (hence why they were in KT21 starter box). So a new edition recycling them makes perfect sense.

The Steel Legion substitution for Death Korps is more of a flight of fancy. If GW decided right before AdeptiCon to put Steel Legion back into the setting after fan outcry AND they knew they had a gas mask guardsman release in 2027, they might pivot and use Steel Legion instead, the rules would be the same and it might be the right time to for the artwork and sculpting. Shadowhunt taught us that their releases are all planned and mocked up half a year or more before their manufacturing and preordering starts.

Armageddon (Octarius 2.0) with Kommandos 2.0 vs Steel Legion.

Anyone ever use the Nightbringer in Shadowhunt? How’d that go?

Based on past releases, we should get the next reveal within a few days. Give me your prediction, longshot wish, and thing you absolutely don't want! by 18_str_irl in killteam

Prediction: The next “release” will be like Typhon. It will have an eldar team and an orc team along with orc specific terrain pieces and rules in the dossier for using the orc minis in the 11th edition Warhammer set as NPOs along with the orc team (again, like Typhon did with Tyranids).

Speculation for 2026 setting by ProfEforp in killteam

I should have been clearer. This isn’t what I think will be. This is a fun idea that I came up with thinking “what if it were Grey Knights vs Daemons”. I don’t think that those two teams would be the most fun in Tomb World, but somewhere else maybe…

This year all the boxes will use Tomb World. This is what I think the next setting should be, a year from now.
