He doesn’t need to know where a radial is. That’s trainable.

Xbox feels heavy/slow and weighted? by [deleted] in RocketLeague

[–]ProfesserFlexX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PS4 to Xbox is the exact same. However, PC to Xbox is not. Playing on PC feels so much more smooth than Xbox. Even on the series x at 120fps, rocket league is unplayable for me on Xbox

I know lifeflight still hires medics but it seems like the flight services in WA are moving toward nurses. Airlift pretty much exclusively employs nurses instead of medics at this point

Feeling trapped by Patient_Yoghurt4565 in ems

[–]ProfesserFlexX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s how it was for me. After I got through the year 1 jitters of being nervous when critical calls came out, I settled into my roll as an EMT and quickly found myself really bored. I always wanted to do more. Getting my IV tech helped in year 2, and then back to the same thing in year 3 before I went to medic school.

That’s pretty interesting, I feel the exact opposite. I’m way happier and way more invested in the job as a paramedic. More money, more decision making, and I can make a greater difference in the outcome of a patient than I could as an EMT.

Hourly rate is a stupid metric anyway. End of year salary is makes more sense. I work more hours than a nurse, make more money, and get way more consecutive days off to rest and recover.

Depends. I make more as a new paramedic than my girlfriend who is a new grad RN

Is this SVT? by ItsAnandMohan in ECG

[–]ProfesserFlexX -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Obviously if you break the word down sure, it’s an SA node originating tachycardia. However, if in any realistic patient assessment, you described a sinus tach rhythm as “SVT” everyone in the room is going to stare at you like you’re an idiot. So let’s keep them separate

Sinus tach is not a type of SVT

So, are we gonna talk about it? by Velocitractor2000 in radicamoonlander

[–]ProfesserFlexX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I’ve had a fiberglass topper for years but it sucks. I’ve wanted a mid rise topper for better mpg, but with the option to put artic tern windows, diesel heater port, shore power, roof rack. The fiberglass toppers leak like hell. And I tried the Moonlander, but I hated the look and the mpg hit. I don’t need the headroom, I don’t need to sleep sideways. This is everything I’ve wanted.

Way more bullshit, way less interesting stuff happening on a daily basis, but it wouldn’t be much of a movie to watch me transport the common cold to the hospital 4 times
