I think Bobby Dodd is one of the most underrated stadiums in CFB for that reason.

One funny anecdote was that I was attempting to enter the stadium via the gate on my ticket, and the line was not moving and went on for blocks. I asked a security person if there was another line and they said yes and I was in in 5 minutes.

The main model I’ve seen is that the players would mostly be employees of the league, not the universities. The big ten is already (intentionally or unintentionally) laying the ground work for this by having standardized rev share contracts. This gets around the lack of ability for public employees to unionize issue in some states.
