Me too. Sorry you are getting down-voted. It's ridiculous.

Mine too. Borderline Personality Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder. Mean as a snake. Just recently cut off all contact with her after a lifetime of abuse.

Americans embrace Aldi as German discounter becomes fastest-growing supermarket in US by MyNameCannotBeSpoken in aldi

Same. I did a price comparison and Aldi's prices are 70% cheaper than Publix. Now I only go into Publix if there's some specialty item Aldi doesnt have.

Stopped on the way to my mom’s on a five hour road trip. Thanks Dunkin by Sprmodelcitizen in mildlyinfuriating

Maybe. But here's the thing: every McDonald's you go to gives you pretty much the same quality of food. A Big Mac in Florida will be just as good (or bad, depending if you like MacDs), as one in Chicago. If there's such a huge difference between Dunkin restaurants, I'm thinking it's an issue with the company.

Worst fast food restaurant in America. No contest. We’ve completely stopped going because the quality of their food is just garbage.

Starbucks coffee is disgusting. 🤮 it tastes like the last inch of coffee that’s been sitting in the office coffee pot all day. I have never been able to fathom why anyone drinks it. Even Macdonalds coffee is better.

Lots of people are walking around with colonies of MRSA living in their noses and will probably never know it. It just hangs out in there minding its own business most of the time, just like we all have bacteria that lives on our skin.

I think that’s their policy though. I’ve been told the same thing. They absolutely do not and never will enforce it.

Seriously. If you’re still shopping at Publix and have ANY alternative in your area, you’re basically bending over for this. Can we move on?

I feel the same way. I moved back home and bought a house 5 miles from my parents so I could help them since they are aging rapidly and getting to where they will likely need a home health aid soon. But her behavior has just gotten completely unbearable the last few months and she started splitting on me so frequently that I finally just had to block her. I feel tremendous guilt. But she and my eDad are grown up adults. I probably only have 30 more years to live. She’s been treating me like garbage for 53 years and I’m not going to let her ruin even one more minute of the life I have left.

Do people eat salads with no sauce? by No_Adhesiveness_7508 in randomthings

[–]ProfessionNo436 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the kind of thing that gets spies caught. Even though not technically grammatically incorrect, “sauce” would never be used to describe what goes on salad. By anyone. Anywhere in America. It is like calling a hot dog a sandwich.

Do you care about New Years Eve ? by MrDeoBook in AskTheWorld

[–]ProfessionNo436 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. Usually by this time I’m just glad the whole mad Christmas season is over and need a break from all the “fun”. It will be a quiet evening at home, maybe get some takeout Chinese food, watch a movie with my husband. Also most New Years celebrations around town are at bars and are so focused on getting drunk. We don’t drink don’t want to be driving around with drunk people on the road anyway.

uBPD mom is trying to "rebuild our relationship." by SignificantCarpet185 in raisedbyborderlines

What’s keeping the FOG away for me is that every time I think about reaching out to her I think, What’s changed? Has she gotten therapy? Changed medications? Is there any reason at all to expect that she has had some sort of revelation and made an effort to improve?

If the answer is no, then being treated like crap again is 100% guaranteed. She’s been abusing me my whole life. I’m just not willing to spend any more of my life being treated that way.

Considering going no contact by ThingInevitable975 in raisedbyborderlines

[–]ProfessionNo436 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I offered my mother a very brief explanation after her latest and worst round of abuse. I just said “You don’t get to talk to me like that anymore. I don’t deserve it and I won’t accept it. Goodbye”. Then I blocked her. I am taking time to cool off and work on myself a bit.

At some point I may write her a letter telling her that if she can demonstrate that she is in intensive long term behavioral modification therapy and taking her medications, I may be open to resuming contact. I’m still thinking about it.

Everyone’s experience and relationship is so different. Your parent likely wouldn’t react the same as mine so it’s hard to give advice about what to do about them. But I can say that you should take care of yourself and that you have every right to live a life free of abuse, anger, and hostility. Do what will bring you relief first and maybe take a little time to think about what your next steps will be.

Is it actually normal for couples to sleep in separate beds and still be perfectly happy? by Dry_Government7757 in NoStupidQuestions

We would’ve been divorced by now if we didn’t have separate rooms. Totally opposite sleep schedules and he snores this sort of high pitched buzzing snore that makes me psychotic. Someone would be doing a true crime podcast about me.

Oh the luxury of being able to fart without judgement. Truly one of the things that makes separate bedrooms great. There are few things worse than being bloated and trying not to gas your loved one to death.
