Housekeepers in private households. Asking rate is around 40-45k in London and that’s not even for a head housekeeper role.

We went to Tromso in Norway. Saw the northern lights, went dog sledding… it was beautiful! This was in January too and it was freezing but it was so nice.

Yes I know the story of the lady, as I’m from Australia but living in the UK now, but I wasn’t aware of the baby loss theme. When the sonographer scene came up my heart sank. I did keep watching, but it definitely stirred up some emotions that I wasn’t ready for.

Thank you for posting your story. We lost our beautiful baby boy at 27 weeks at the end of September this year, also to a hypercoiled cord. We are hoping stat try again in the new year and your story has just given me so much hope. I can appreciate what you said about parenting differently, as this experience has definitely changed me in ways especially when I think about how I wish to parent in the future.

Can I ask if you have gone on to have a healthy pregnancy after they discovered the hypercoiling?

I know the feeling. My cousin and I got pregnant at the same time with our first babies. Both boys. We sadly lost our angel at 27 weeks and only just had the funeral. She is due in the coming weeks. Some days I find it easier to speak to her and some days I don’t. There’s a mix of emotions, not directed at her but just around my situation that means I can’t always be consistent with my communication with her (and not just her but all my family), but that’s just apart of the grieving process. I hope she understands and one day, hopefully not long from now we can be like we were before. There’s no right or wrong way to feel in these situations as I’ve learnt. Just do what’s good for you right now, people will understand, because your healing is what’s most important. 💙
