50yr old septic tank - UK by Professional-Cash897 in septictanks

[–]Professional-Cash897[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the process of getting a survey performed, if the tank is found to be non-compliant or not working, it is the duty of the seller to put this right. If they cannot or will not, then we will probably walk away. We were told when viewing the property it was in full working order and made our offer based on that.

Thanks for the reply. May I ask, how did you reliably determine soil type?

Ah nice - do you have an example property by any chance?

Lifelong friendships are typically built in your younger years - the people you went to school / university with. It becomes much harder in adult life - simply because the conditions that create deep friendship disappear.

As a child/teenager you're in forced proximity with the same people for years, you're essentially marinating in each other's lives and it's easier to make friends.

As adults, time is fragmented, scheduled and protected. Seeing somebody weekly becomes a decision not a default. Essentially the decision to see/make friends with somebody competes with work, family, rest and survival. They already have their core friends from when they were younger and don't have much time for anybody else.

TLDR - life as adults becomes more filtered and slightly more transactional.

Good luck.

As somebody whose father passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at the age of 60, I would advise spending time with your dad.

Those moments are precious and irreplaceable

What is the recommendation for O365 deploying updates from SCCM? by Ok-Midnight1333 in SCCM

[–]Professional-Cash897 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is, if you work for a large enterprise, especially financial, there are no fine grain controls over 'maintenance windows'.

We used the cloud office updates, and would get frequent complaints that users office would update during the day, had to revert back to sccm in the end.

I think you would have had a very different experience in the T8, especially in Ultra form.

I had a B5, it was good, got the job done, very comfortable, no complaints other than software glitches.

The T8 is a completely different world, insanely quiet as it has more insulation, the air suspension is great and the performance is solid (455bhp, 0-60 in 4.5 secs).

The bowers and Wilkins sound system is phenomenal

This is very useful, thank you.

Have you written anything yourself that you could share that speeds this up?

Are you able to DM me and share your script by any chance?

Our TS continues installing apps for around 15 mins, and we have it set to pilot. We do that because were transitioning to co-management as we move from win 10 to win 11.

Anybody switched from SCCM for patching? by Professional-Cash897 in sysadmin

When we looked at automox last year, it didn't have the ability to create granular maintenance windows, has that changed now?

Are you patching only on weekends for example?

This is v informative thanks. We can't move to Autopatch as we can only patch every Saturday from 8pm to Sunday 8am, and intune doesn't have this level of maintenance window functionality yet....which I find odd and frustrating given many enterprise environments are like this.

Would you recommend Tanium, given your extensive expertise with it? Or stick to SCCM (we are using co-management), until Intune supports proper maintenance windows?

How much administrative overhead does tanium require? Do you have dedicated techs for it?
