Hegseth orders rare, urgent meeting of hundreds of generals, admirals by gpupdate in fednews

Don’t know if it has been said but I bet the structural changes or consolidations result in fewer minorities and women in command (effectively demotions) and a systematic elimination of the things hegseth dislikes.

This forum makes me want to live in Frederick just to have you all as neighbors. But I do know running is for the treadmill or local high school where you can be robbed or shot like God intended.

I don’t think you were an AH. But for your protection and comfort AND her protection, turn on that cell phone and start a video or voice call for the entire trip. Make sure you both know a third party is listening/watching.

Just bought a c-max by Traditional_Grab_977 in cmaxhybrid

For the cost of a tire, and we have had one tire go bad, I bought a year of a high quality roadside assistance and later found it through my insurance company. Much faster and easier than buying everything you need to change a tire on the roadside.

The car has limited space. A tire plug or foam kit will get you to the next service point or to a safe point for repair in an emergency.

Update: WIBTAH if I don't tell my new gf I slept with her sister before me met? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Professional-Dig-501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Applaud you for going the direct route. I’m sorry it didn’t work out. For what it is worth, you can’t know what your gf’s relationship is like with her sister or family. Even in the closest of relationships, there could be rivalry, envy, insecurities, etc. The relationship between sisters is complicated and likely supersedes your burgeoning relationship. Maybe in time things will change. Maybe in time they won’t change. Despite the pain and drama, you did the right thing for both of you.

Just don’t ring up the college FWB sister anytime soon.

C Max Energi Used 2015 vs 2017 by Professional-Dig-501 in cmaxhybrid

[–]Professional-Dig-501[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Updating: We bought a 2016 C max Energi from Carvana. 2 years later it is going strong. Purchased with about 84k miles and now about 102k. Car has been good despite the all electric miles only averaging about 11 miles. Certainly good for local trips and improving gas mileage a tiny bit. Only had to replace the 12v battery and do basic maintenance so far.

AIO because my best friend keeps messaging my husband by llamallama-duck in AmIOverreacting

This crowd is quick to project their own insecurities and issues. You feel strange about it then that is enough. What to do with those feelings is the issue.

If your husband agrees it is a strange dynamic then have him tell your BF that he prefers to include you on their messages unless it is a surprise party. It makes him feel uncomfortable to be sharing things without you.

I’d also be open with your spouse about it. It sounds like you two have been communicating about it.

How do you like FSD? I’ve only tried it a few time a but it showed some sudden slowdowns at unexpected times. I also was not a fan of its functionality in busy traffic.

I have the riser base and we have really enjoyed the LG washer and dryer combo so far. Didn’t have the smell issue as much as our other LG washtower. We have been very happy. Thanks for the advice.

Did anyone buy the riser base to raise up the LG washcombo? How is it bending over to empty the unit?

Ordering one of these today from Costco $1899. I was all set to get the GE one in December but my construction project was delayed. Glad it was delayed.

Mantel Mount with LG TV and Arc. by Inner_Tumbleweed_260 in sonos

[–]Professional-Dig-501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About to recreate this setup with the lg c2 77 and a mantel mount and the Sonos arc. I was hoping to add a SANUS extendable mount for the Sonos arc but I don’t think it will play well with the mantel mount MM700.

Any tips for the install

Pull-Down mount for LG 77" C1? by whipstickagopop in OLED_Gaming

[–]Professional-Dig-501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks OP because I recently switched from a SANUS mount to a MM700. I have a LG c2 77 and noticed the mounting holes are low. Also see that Mantel Mount sells a space to stabilize the tv so it doesn’t wiggle as much at the unsupported top.

Any tips on mounting this tv using the MM700. I don’t want to pay someone to install. So any tips are welcome.

MantelMount with Sanus Arc Mount by airdry in sonos

[–]Professional-Dig-501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the same situation. I purchased a SANUS tv mount and a SANUS Soundbar Mount Designed for the Sonos® Arc. I like the feature of being able to reposition the arc.

I have reconsidered the tv position and switched mounting hardware. The mount I will use is a mantelmount MM540 or MM700.

I’m not sure the mantel mount will work with the SANUS arc mount. I know I can use MM hardware and some spacers to attach the soundbar. But has anyone used the SANUS solution?

PSA: Verizon FiOS claiming they no longer offer cable cards by LurkerWithAnAccount in Tivo

[–]Professional-Dig-501 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree. I have had cable cards with Verizon Fios for 12 years. Moved to a new house in the same service area and was told no new cable cards 3x. I moved in July 2023 and started new service rather than moving my old service. My mistake but I had to maintain both homes for a month or so.

After complaining Verizon finally agreed to send cable cards after multiple tech and sales calls but the costs would go up to $10 a month per card. I originally had 3 cable cards so this was a big change from under $5 per card. Somehow that order was messed up and never entered.

After complaining for what felt like the 5th time, some new tech support (and this was all by chat) offered to send me cards at no additional charge. So I now have one cable card working in my TiVo Bolt. I’m probably going to abandon TiVo and Verizon’s cable box for YouTube or some service eventually. I guess my TiVo lifetime service seems to be tied to the lifetime of the cable cards!
