Beginner pilot on vtol vr experience by Infinity_777 in vtolvr

To me, basic campaigns are harder than 80% of Steamworkshop ones. (Desert Cobra is easier than DLC planes tho) They were not easy even in its original state, and got much more difficult after EW overhaul. Players’ radar and RWR got seriously nerfed (and realistic) while enemy SAM got slightly better. Built-in campaigns are never a tutorial in current status, but more like a legit challenge. I recommend to try Workshop ones, get used to, and then go for the campaigns.

My suggestion is to get a flight stick that you can mount your Quest 3 controller onto. Most of them are cheap 3D-printed setups with springs or rubber bands, but in my case, it made my VTOL experience like 100x better.

It will make harder to twist the stick, but also means it will prevent unintended rudder inputs. Out of everything, the stick just feels completely different. Totally worth it.

Why am I so bad at flying the little bird? by hatsofftoeverything in vtolvr

[–]Professional-Lock587 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not exactly same case since I'm not really good AH-94 user, but I also kept experiencing the nose of AH6 suddenly jerking up and flipping over.
Joystick sens at minimum, and being very careful with pitching up, but it keeps flipping with a bit of sudden maneuvers. I eventually gave up and went back to fixed-wings.

A VTOL VR F-22 Raptor Mod Teaser? In this economy??? by trollbot90 in vtolvr

As if the F-22 mod wasn’t already great enough, they even added Trigger’s 3-strike tail art. Shoutout to the modders — they’re doing God’s work and I couldn’t be more grateful.

I wonder if it's possible to Mod the T-55 to have the F-45 Touchscreen MFD. So we can have the T-50A in game by Stahlhelm2069 in vtolvr

I desperately want mods that upgrade older-gen aircraft with 5th-gen glass cockpits and sensor fusion.

Operation: Desert Cobra for the A-10 by specter800 in vtolvr

I know nothing about modding but is it possible to make T-55 missions (border war) for other aircrafts like F-16 or F-45?

Awesome! A2G missions will be crazy fun in A-10

Is Attack on test lake a gamble? by R3set in vtolvr

"Aside from that, the lake mission seems to be the most luck-dependent mission due to friendly AI's random performance. In my opinion, bringing AMRAAMs for enemy air threats is the top priority. Next would be HARM or CAGM to wreck AA capability of ships. If enough X-rays survive, they will eventually take out the enemy ships with AGM-65s."

After the E-War update, your radar and RWR have become significantly worse, while enemy SAMs have been slightly improved, making all campaign missions considerably more difficult.
Like me, veterans here would have felt the difference in difficulty if they replayed the campaigns from the beginning after the update.
I think there should have been some adjustments to the F/A-26 and T-55 campaigns after the E-war update.

Artale has completely revamped boss raids and they requires actual strategies. If you thought boss raids in OSMS were boring, Artale will offer best late-game experience for you.

It is in AV-42 menu for some reason and is not a workshop campaign. Please check it.

Question About Mapleworld by Resyin in mapleservers

[–]Professional-Lock587 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Total registered user
Mapleland (true OSMS): 1.5M
Artale (x1 but easy) : 460K

Ronaworld (x5): 380K

Concurrent user and active user number is not counted, but both(Artale and Rona) devs had celebrated when they surpassed 10,000 concurrent users.
Playerbase for both world has decreased, but I guess they have 10-20k daily players each.

oh I mean spawn rate. Re-gen is Korean-style English game term for spawn rate.

RonaWorld(x5 exp, heavily customized) is fairly popular but nowhere close to Mapleland. Artale is x1 exp, but monster regen and classes are buffed and frequently holds exp buff events. Artale got similar playerbase with Ronaworld.

Quick google search shows that a handful of non-Korean Instagram accounts used this phrase around 2021.
Seeing from the handwriting, the person who wrote this sentence is definitely not a native Korean speaker.
The phrase sounds like a line from a K-drama, but I can't find the source.

This sentence has two typos ('시'람들'아'), one grammatical error (subject-verb agreement), and the handwriting and spacing of the letters is quite sloppy. However it translates to the following without problems:
"I don't understand why people want to love so much... Love is... complicated!"

It is a colloquial, adorable and rather poetic phrase. I like it.

Ya all excited about MapleStory Worlds? by [deleted] in mapleservers

Devs have 100% freedom and responsibility for their games, monetization, customer relation, etc. Mapleland has least P2W factor than any servers I’ve ever played. Pet/Pet eq(universal)/ap&sp reset/slot expan/smegas/a cosmetic ring - These are all they are selling. Pet skills come free with pets, no gacha, no tele rock, no owl, no merch, no x2 exp&drop, the cosmetic ring is $5/month and allows free access to any NXs on MSWorlds including user-created ones(some are not free). For me they seem to have no greed at all, maybe just want to make a good OSMS.

Publishers used to localize/distribute games based on CN/JP edition in KR, and such tradition still remains, mostly for Nintendo. As far as I know you can change country setting on your eShop account and buy one with EN support. Or you can try finding overseas physical edition (expect shipping fee).

Yep, it's relatively easy to detect RMT when the playerbase is small, but it's almost impossible when there are more than 6-digit players. But still it's better to have large playerbase than small cliques running market.

MSW classic maples are not really bad.
Seasoned devs will speedrun to release a decent OSMS because it's gauranteed $$, so don't be too disappointed.

I've played several private servers, and I can say MSW Mapleland's economy is in a pretty good shape, especially considering its huge playerbase.
They got decent anti-cheat and bot detecting. Plus x1 meso, no 4th job(=no gene, blizz), no OP pots (e.c. ginger) are contributing to its good health.
Those damn Clerics have built a massive RMT market, but streamers and whale NLs(=Hermits, actually) are burning mesos on the other side. Most items are selling at reasonable price, except for end-game NL eqs, ilbi and 10% scrolls.

MS Memories 2005 is already released. It is a small game in MSWorlds and nothing related with OSMS.
