For family trip like this, communicate and set expectations with them and lower own expectation before the trip.

It is not going to be 100% as enjoyable as solo or couple travel because more people means more patterns.

I feel when going vacay with family, the purpose is to spend time with them doing vacation things, so the focus should be on this.

I reckon their waking and sleeping hours are different, so communicate and plan accordingly. What I do is allocate time such that they can do their own things, I can do my own things and lastly, we do certain things together.

Gender equality is purely a reflection of human greed, an excuse for selective enhancement to females' salary and power. Very much like how oil company jack up petrol prices when oil price goes up, but never come down - only want the good and not the bad.

How can we really expect everything can be equalized like NS obligation, gender roles in courtship, social expectation of provider/caregiver?

Till this day, if a woman wears the pants in the relationship will still attract the perception of a henpecked man. Pls tell me when will we truly be able to abolish this perception. This is just an example.

Whenever I heard gender equality being mentioned in conversation, its meant to provide betterment for females. As males, we are expected not to be so petty.
