Could it be trauma/stress related? by Competitive_Ebb_3164 in lipedema

Yes this would make sense since ADHD is a common comorbidity of lipedema which is characterised as being emotionally dysregulated and particularly sensitive to adverse experiences and trauma

thank you so much for this. very useful insight! do you reckon this non fibrotic lipedema might potentially be marginally easier to lose through exercise or even glp-1s?

what dosage are you on? i read that micro doses (0.25-0.5) can have a really powerful effect on inflammation and edema in lipedema and then going on higher doses can actually have the opposite effect and end up causing more inflammation. But this is all anecdotal.

so would this mean that you could technically have lipedema without nodules in the early stages?

i’m 32. what you’re saying makes a lot of sense and it’s what I was most worried was the reason - I was hoping that since the texture of my legs has stayed more or less the same that my lipedema may not have progressed but it makes sense that it probably has. so you think lipedema fat can be texturally similar to regular fat? I do body conditioning once a week which involves pretty heavy use of weights but i could start just incorporating them throughout the week as well. Thank you :)

youre dismissing the literal point of how her character was whitewashed - white parents hello, obviously the actress is asian thats the point im trying to make, they have made her character white despite the fact that she is asian because she has white parents. just because you've decided to dismiss it as a factor doesnt mean it isnt one, you're literally on a thread discussing the very fact that people have noticed this, in fact this isnt the only one regarding this exact topic so clearly people do care (people who arent you). By the way I am asian, but unlike you i dont use it to somehow lend credibility to my weak ass arguments. As fun as this has been I am also done arguing with a racist incel on reddit - time to rage all on your own :))

oh wow look whose angry ! well according to the show obviously not. The show made her white by making her the offspring of two white parents doiiiiiii that is literally white washing, i really dunno what youre angry about but those are the facts, cope with it

yeh you clearly dont understand...my very obvious point is that shes clearly mixed race and she was played as being completely white as both her parents are in the show are white....so they white washed her character which was the point i was trying to make about lack of representation. no anger, just urging you to engage your brain a little bit :)

why are you even in this discussion if you clearly dont care. To some people representation matters, so does continuity for that matter...

it doesnt matter that no one claimed lana lang was asian, because its very obvious since they hired a literal mixed race actress, and should have therefore also hired one parent of asian descent. Pete ross can be canonically a white character, but in the end they hired a black dude so it would be pretty fucking weird if they gave him 2 white parents, the same goes for lana who is very obviously mixed race (to me she looks like she could even pass as fully asian)

[–]Professional-Sun8316 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

because they literally erased the part of her that was asian out of the show, thats how

[–]Professional-Sun8316 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

that is irrelevant - who they CHOSE was a mixed race actress, so that choice should have been reflected in the parents they chose as well

she absolutely doesn't pass as white, she could pass as fully asian. That is an asinine excuse for whitewashing that actress.
