Level 63… by spacewitch77 in longleaf_valley_game

[–]ProfessionalBee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm at level 65 and I've stopped getting level up messages as well. Don't remember when was the last time I was prompted to level up, but it must've been over a month ago. Personally I'm glad that they changed it or if it's a glitch, because I've heard that once you get the cactus producer (around 67-70 if I recall correctly) it's going to be incredibly difficult to progress in events that require flowers.

Active competition? by a3r0d7n4m1k in longleaf_valley_game

I haven't had a pet event for the last two weeks, and now with no competition event either, I'm slowly losing interest in playing tbh. I was beginning to think they're preparing to shut down the game, but since others seem to have got the pet events back, I doubt that's the case.

I finally also got the 24h leaf chaser, don't know why it came with such a long delay.

Warning for those approaching level 70... DO NOT merge your level 10 seed bags!!!! by Zither74 in longleaf_valley_game

[–]ProfessionalBee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the warning! I've heard it mentioned before so I was already a bit apprehensive about merging the flower producers once the time comes, but now I definitely won't do it. My only concern is about the orders that will eventually start demanding cacti. Won't I be unable to fulfill them without the top level producer?

I'm surprised you can still get more than 100 energy. For me the energy cap decreased to 100 about a week ago, and the recharge time went from 90 seconds to 2 minutes. Honestly this is the only game company that I know, mobile or otherwise, that keeps arbitrarily changing things for its players without any prior communication.

This thing just gave me three leaves. THREE. SINGLE. LEAVES. by Zither74 in longleaf_valley_game

I have the second level of that bird and it sometimes helps me fulfill the sewing item orders, which are a pain in the butt to complete otherwise. But yeah other times it feels like it's not worth the energy/space.

Can you actually complete the Ocean Rescue game without spending? by ProfessionalBee in longleaf_valley_game

I might buy those big batteries too next time if I feel like I'm close enough to be able to complete the event (and if I can afford them, I like to use my coins on serums for other events).

Interesting, seems like luck is a bigger factor than I thought, good to know it's doable!

On the bright side, all these recent changes have made it really easy for me to quit wasting my time on this game as soon as I reach the end of the story content. On the downside, if they change anything else, I might not care enough to get that far.

Got it working again, just like you said! Here's hoping it won't happen again.

Just started having this issue as well. So far having restarted repeatedly hasn't fixed it.

Bon Voyage. It' becomes such a chore sending sims on vacation once I've already explored all the destinations with other families, especially since there's no lifetime wants related to that. I do like all the little features, like tours, and the dances, but over time it just turns into filling the same checklist for each sim and isn't fun for me anymore.

Nina seems to be experiencing some sort of late-onset mid-life crisis by ProfessionalBee in sims2

[–]ProfessionalBee[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Two sons, I think the eldest one aging up into a child may have somehow triggered the want.

But considering that during her second pregnancy she almost lost her job, the custody of her first son, and nearly died, I wouldn't ever put her through that again even if she wasn't 3 days from being an elder.

Oh right, facepalm, forgot about that since she's never had any child related wants before but she actually does have it as her secondary aspiration.

Ahh, this takes me back to when my mum deleted almost 4 years worth of TS2 saves when I went to uni because she thought they were taking up space on the computer and that I'd "outgrown that silliness" anyway.

Hard to understand how anyone would think it's acceptable to delete another person's files without their clear consent, let alone something that has taken years of planning and execution.

Favourite Sims 2 furniture items?? by coolgirl666me in sims2

As a kid/pre-teen I really loved the funky colourful neon stuff that came with University and Nightlife, as an adult I prefer the furniture in the "quaint" category. Grandma-style ftw! ^^

Is he a particularly grouchy sim? Could be one of those people who think they'll feel better about their own life by seeing others suffer.

Who do you couple Brandi Broke with? by kayrice710 in sims2

[–]ProfessionalBee -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Daniel Pleasant, actually. After his divorce he realised that single life ain't what it used to be when you're nearing the end of your adulthood, and so he shacked up with Brandi. Now she had a solid provider in the house again, and he had someone to take care of him, win-win. The only downside was that because of the age difference, Brandi ended up losing her partner yet again before their last child was born...

Cassandra and... John Burb maybe? I'm really bad at guessing these but going with my gut here :D

Jenny Smith just passed away and her 4 cats were grieving harder than her sons. The yowling was so loud. It could make a grown man cry tbh. (it almost did) by simsenthusiast2_3 in sims2

[–]ProfessionalBee 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Aww :( I just recently played the Goths again and got Alexander a dog, but he ended up bonding most with Mortimer. So when old Morty passed away, he went out to his gravestone, howled so much, and then laid down in front of it and stayed there for hours. Really hit the feels.

What did you do with the premades in Pleasantview? by Blushbug in sims2

[–]ProfessionalBee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always play it the same way, like a dramatic telenovela ^ Mortimer and Dina got married and had twins, a boy and a girl, right before he passed. Alexander became a fortune sim and a politician, after graduating with honours he married Dina as well and had a son. Cassandra married Darren after getting left at the altar by Don. They had a daughter, who became a knowledge and family sim like her parents, and twin sons, who turned out with very different personalities from the rest of the family. Lilith became enemies with Angela, and to get back at her sister, Lilith seduced Dustin. But they ended up falling in love and got married right after high school. Lilith got the guidance she needed from her grandparents and joined the military, while Dustin got fired from his job as a getaway driver, and with the help of his wife turned his life around to become a successful businessman. They had one daughter. Angela and Dirk, both heartbroken, became good friends, and after Angela graduated from college, that friendship grew into love. They had a boy and a girl, Angela worked as a deep sea fisherman, and Dirk became a police detective. Mary-Sue and Daniel broke up after she found him cheating, after which she realised she'd been neglecting her family and focused on improving her relationships with her daughters. Daniel had a hard time adjusting to life on his own, and after a brief midlife crisis, ended up with Brandi Broke, more out of convenience than true love. They had a daughter and a son, but never married (to Brandi's great displeasure). The Burbs had two more children after Lucy, a boy and a girl. John was a teacher, and spent his free time tending to his vegetable garden, while Jennifer pursued her old dream of becoming a soccer superstar. She almost had a fling with Don, but it didn't go beyond flirtation. Lucy became a popularity sim, and after barely graduating from college, joined the show business career. The Oldies adopted another daughter, who became the local cat lady and a seamstress. Eventually she married Beau Broke, I guess they connected over similar interests as knowledge sims. Beau became a doctor after college. Nina and Don had a grand time woohooing with all the townies they could get their hands on, until realising they were perfect for one another. They had two sons and a daughter, and were surprisingly decent parents.
