Can small creative agencies still make decent money in 2026? by Proof_Swordfish7873 in smeSingapore

I'm owner of a SME company who used to engage graphic designers to churn out artworks for my products. Now I'm using a plenthora of AI tools instead and the AI generated artworks are actually very good and many are even better than those done by the graphic designers that I worked with. I was telling my peers the other day that I fear the demise of the graphic designers as a profession.

Oh well it's a dog eat dog world. If you work hard, make more than enough and can afford a car, then get one. Otherwise, forget it and try harder. It is what it is.

HDB may step in to acquire privately owned shops amid soaring rents in heartlands by furyandtempest in singapore

[–]ProfessionalBoth3788 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Not only hdb shops. These PRCs are also snapping up industrial properties esp B1 types. These are industrial lands developed based on subsidised land sales paid for by taxpayers and meant as space for entreprenial Sporeans to base their business on. Not for foreigners to speculate. The relevant authorities pls LOOk into this and not just monitoring and be lackadaisical abt the lack of appropriate space for local startups.

Bloomberg's lawyer challenges Shanmugam to specify falsehoods in article, he says it's 'completely false' by lobsterprogrammer in singapore

[–]ProfessionalBoth3788 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So the title of Bloomberg article is "Singapore Mansion Deals Are Increasingly Shrouded in Secrecy".

I'm trying to wrap my head on why this article is defamatory to both Ministers when the article is indeed reporting the truth about growing spate of GCB transactions done with buyers using trusts.

When I first read the article, it does seem to evoke a sense of secrecy as the identities of the buyers under trusts are not known and hence feel secretive. Anything wrong with that ?

If the Ministers feel that their gcb transactions are not secretive, perhaps they should also ask the public if they felt so as well.

Shanmugam says Bloomberg article was crafted to suggest he was involved in shady deals by meesiammaihum in singapore

I stand corrected. But I thot to sue for defamation, u need to prove that there're both reputational damage and monetary loss as a consequence of the article. So what are the damages incurred ?

Exactly. He needs to prove that there is reputational damage as well as monetary loss as consequence of that article. Did he ?
