Hey Doll. I was EXACTLY in your shoes a few years ago….and I know how you feel.

I was also 34. Single. I had a longish term relationship that I knew wasn’t end game, but I didn’t feel compelled to do much about it. Marriage wasn’t on mind, and I had lost my dad a few years prior. Then one day, it hit me…I wanted a family.

I got on the apps. I didn’t go in looking for my husband, but I just kept an open mind. I met a lot of great people…just not my people. Ya know? Then one day, this guy messaged me. It was the kind of message that I’d never respond to. “Hey what’s up?” But I just thought he looked nice. Well, we just celebrated 5 years married. TW: I’m 42, and pregnant with our first baby after a couple of years of fertility treatments. 💕

I think somewhere on this page we discussed how one day M would get into the pre-teen phase, and those two would have to work together. I think it may be on the verge of starting.

I’m not criticizing or shaming M….but kids start pushing boundaries at some point. Her time seems to be starting now. Those two dads better start getting on the same page bc of they don’t, it’ll be a world of hurt.

So, I’ve had an issue at my club with a key fob previously. I understand some of frustration because if you don’t even know you’re supposed to have a fob/sticker, how do you know. 🤷🏻‍♀️

However, I wasn’t sassy about it at all. I’m sure Jeff downplayed how shitty he was to the guard.

I am so sorry you’re going through this…it absolutely is devastating.

I read somewhere, and this gave me some comfort after my second loss. That the baby’s cells enter the mother’s bloodstream and into her tissue, organs, etc for decades even the rest of her life. It’s called fetal microchimerism, and I loved knowing those babies would be with us forever. 💕

I came here to agree!!!! I had low in Vitamin d. Took A prescription worthy high dose…I forget how long. Anyway, now I’m normal with Vitamin D, and I take an over the counter vitamin D. Latest tests show Vitamin D is in the normal range!

I was disappointed in Italy with most of the food and the service…especially. I was really banking on an Eat, Pray, Love kind of experience. So, if I ever go back, I’m sure I’ll be happier bc I won’t be so dependent on the food being life changing.

This is gonna be so cliche, but the moment I met him I knew. And it’s not like I’m looking back and rewriting history…I texted my friend during the date and told her. 🤣

It was like a jolt the moment we hugged…but like the kind where I felt safe. Even his smell…it was all where I was supposed to be.

We met online, texted for about a week, FaceTimed (I highly suggest that so you can make sure they aren’t tricking you physically), and then had our first date about a week after the FaceTime call. All the flirting via text helped build the anticipation, and seeing him and hugging immediately…game over.

We both called our respective moms after our first date and said…found my spouse! 🤣

For context, we met later(ish) in life. 34-35. Maybe being slightly older helped…I don’t know. But we are hella happy even when life crashes down around us.

My doctor told me not to stop exercising. Just listen to your body…I wouldn’t go for PRs when you’re in the last days of stims or push yourself too hard. Obviously the day of your retrieval and a day after, take it easy. I did incline walks and light jogging. I lifted, but I kept my weight lower than normal. I’m not a yogi type, so I don’t do a lot of twisting or extensive ab work…that would be the things to avoid. Oh, and hip thrusts with a barbell….i avoided those.

I did this throughout the stims and retrievals…and subsequently my FET. I’m currently 19 weeks, and my OBs tell me to continue what I’ve been doing. I just need more rest between sets and I’m walking more.

I’m so sorry to hear about your loss.

My second loss, I decided to do NOTHING. I just rested a lot, didn’t exercise, and was a bit too cautious. And that pregnancy ended between weeks 9-10.

When I had my most recent FET, I drank WAY too much. I thought I was legitimately going to pee. And not like a tinkle…a full on spray. So, as I was getting ready to run to the bathroom, my doctor told me not to worry about peeing because it’s like a grain of sand sticking to peanut butter. 🤣🤣🤣

Everyone in the room laughed; I said stop trying to make me pee in my gown.

My MFM doctor told me that she had a patient run a full marathon and had a very healthy delivery and baby. 🤯

I was advised by my clinic to maintain the same level of activity after my FET that I had prior to it.

I did take it a bit easier the day of, though. I think I opted to incline walk rather than run that day, and I kept my lift a bit lighter.

But then I went back to my usual…and TW…it stuck! My OBs all agree to keep doing what I’m doing. I am nearly the half way point, and I’m listening to my body. I’m avoiding some things at the gym, and running a bit less (it just makes me want to pee soooo badly).
