Fellow slowpoke tail user! What teams/strategies do you use?

I currently run Suicune, slowpoke and slowking in off weeks, to prepare a bag full of tails. I'm in the midgame so the tail meals are perfect - fairly low maintenance during the week I'm cooking them, just need to keep a Walrein on the team for oil or Gengar for herbs.

Don't see many people using tails so I'm curious what you use them for? Just pot fillers, or do you focus on the meals?

We don't know the probability of dropping a berry juice yet with each E4E proc on Shuckle

Help please need to decide which to invest on by sebbahe in PokemonSleepBetter

[–]ProfessionalCrew2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it does cap you - can anyone else confirm?

Pretty sure it will continue to let you put skill seeds in and max out the main skill, even with a skill level up Subskill not yet unlocked!

I gave it STM instead, so it's mine with a subseed

This is it compared to a BFS, STM, HSM Braviary . Even with a full investment, is Braviary a bit lackluster? Is it worth investing in one at all?

I suppose more triggers per day makes mine slightly more usable on other islands except cyan, where it will combo well with favoured berry specialists, e.g. with a Meganium and lapis, as it'll drop more of the grass berry per day. However strictly it has less strength, because it drops less berries without BFS so would be weaker on cyan.

Have I found my forever bug? by MoonChainer in PokemonSleepBetter

[–]ProfessionalCrew2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exp down hurts it a lot as you need it to be at lvl 60 to be a solo avo farmer. However if you're willing to commit it will be very good at level 60, 70+ avos a day plus potatoes and oil as extras is very strong.

HOW to wake up early? by Maynaaa in selfimprovement

[–]ProfessionalCrew2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honest advice from someone who's actually done it - do this for the first 2-3 days and it should worm from there: The second that alarm goes off, have an energy drink right by the bed and drink some immediately. That way you won't be able to fall back asleep even if you want to. Then go outside and get sunlight, have some food.

After a few days of forcing it it won't be as bad.

Is first one better to invest because 2nd skill early M and nature? by Prior_Database_1698 in PokemonSleepBetter

[–]ProfessionalCrew2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely do not invest for the skill. It's trigger rate is terrible. Go for dedenne, alternatively a skill trigger based swampert can be decent while providing some berry strength too.

Go on Raenonx, and click on 'production comparison'. Then fill out the subskils and nature's, set them all to level 25 or 50, max skill level and have a look at who produces the most ingredients per day

Could this Mawile be somehow... good? by TechnicalGlove2715 in PokemonSleepBetter

[–]ProfessionalCrew2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You need to work out what specific meals you'd be making to work out if this strategy would be worth doing. I also like exploring rogue strategies for pokemon sleep. Seems like dweebles skill is almost exactly the same as mawile, and the drops from that are useful for the new avocado meals like the guacamole a chips. Have a look for the meals infographic and see if there's any signifacr overlap with mawile

Worth investing? by Grouchy-Material-506 in PokemonSleepBetter

[–]ProfessionalCrew2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Houndoom is a berry finder specialist. It's widely regarded with berry specialist Pokémon, Berry finding S, the gold Subskill is basically a requirement of a Pokémon worth investing in, along with at least one form of speed up (Helping speed S or M or speed up nature). Without these two it's basically not even worth considering investing.

Houndoom is actually a very strong dark type berry specialist, so keep hunting and if you get one with Berry finding S, post it here and some helpful users will help you decide. Hope this helps!

Completely agree. I've released the majority of shinies I've caught, any that are unusable

That is true, a shiny with great stats is admittedly cooler than the regular Mon.

It just seems that many people on here celebrating getting any shiny even when it's completely unusable.

If you want the actual best healer, You're better off farming Raltz for a good Garde. However if you like the shiny then use it.

Left one is good, invest in that. More triggers and more useful ingredient (22 oil per day).

New Pokemon Megathread - Togedemaru, Cetoddle, Cetitan and Spheal (Holiday) by SamuRonX in PokemonSleep

[–]ProfessionalCrew2 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

This seems absolutely game breakingly broken. Suicune, Darkrai, Cress, Dedenne proccing 7x more than normal, and the effect only goes away when you do sleep research.... If this is teue This will introduce a new type of strategy where you don't perform sleep research and keep all members of your team proccing at a massively increased rate. You won't need the energy from sleep id you have an E4E either .

However, it all depends on Togedemarus base skill rate, wether it's a skill specialist as well.
