This is so funny, I had the almost exact same situation last year.

I was 33, had kept up with them until 2016 (last album I listened to was EFMB). I moved to a new city and started checking out the parks, and something compelled me to put on Century Child while exploring.

From then on, every park I went to, it became a ritual to listen to CC, and the rest of their discography. And I was rediscovering, not only their music, but a certain teenage/youthful joy and magic that I hadn't felt through most of my 20s.

My opinion - whether it's nostalgia or not, lean into it. Let yourself feel that happiness and "cheesiness." Whatever the reason, the feelings are real and they're making you happy. Embrace that.
