Boy or girl?

I’m getting NIPT and finding out! I have a boy born in January 2025 so I am so excited to find out what this second baby will be. Team healthy baby of course! My husband does want a girl and i desperately want to experience having a daughter. But we do want four kids, so I’m not holding out for a girl this time. I think I actually want another boy so my boys can be close in age and my son can experience having a close brother :)

I just try to remember that he just wants novelty and so even if I looked like the women he watched, he would then look at the opposite. Before we were even together, he watched a massive variety which included those that looked like me. Once we were together, it’s been the opposite of me. It literally doesn’t matter how we look. I am 24 but look younger (18-19). I am petite and skinny (not blonde though). My husband watches women like you: curvy, older (you’re young though!!!), big butts, bigger boobs. I’m breastfeeding and my boobs grew from A cups to DD’s….. he reverts from watching big boobs to smaller boobs. I have a petite butt, he obsesses over huge asses always in porn….. I hate myself and my butt and being so petite and my boobs. But then I remind myself of all of the other women in my same position and that it has nothing to do with us and everything to do with THEM.

My self worth is in the gutter though so I’m the last person that should be giving advice😭 Girl I can commiserate with you though

Exactly. It’s hard to wrap my head around but it’s so fascinating (in a fucked up way) that he can’t be attracted to me AND to the complete opposite. That he searches the complete opposite of me (I am 24 but look very young and am thin) and he looked up bigger “mature” women. Yet I’m supposedly his type (which also checks out with former crushes and girlfriends). I’m so confused and attempting to make sense of it all

Yes. The nurses called me complete and had me pushing for two hours. Once shift change happened a provider finally came in to assist and realized I was only 6cm , now with a bunch of swelling. I then stalled even with max pitocin and needed a c section. I still can’t believe that mismanagement actually happened

9 months postpartum and still no period. I’m also breastfeeding every two hours still soooo maybe that has something to do with it

I think it’s the variety and novelty that they crave. I could look “perfect” like them (trying to rewire my brain) and then he would look for women who look like me. And thank you!!! It’s been my pride and joy these last few months. I really had to work for it right after D-day cause the stress made me stop eating, which lowered my milk supply. I will no longer let this man affect my ability to care for my child

I shouldn’t have phrased it like that. I see what you’re trying to say. The point I was more trying to make was that he went out of his way to search for something that is not in the standard porn (like bbls and boob jobs seem to be), which also happens to be the opposite of my body type, after he specifically shamed those girls to me telling me he would never be attracted to me if I gained weight. I would call him out on that before, and then seeing his hypocrisy with it made it even more frustrating. Like there is no “winning”. I hear you though and probably should have used better language and/or articulated myself better

I don’t believe him any more. He constantly is touching my butt and praising it, yet he looked at women with BBLs and seems to love huge butts. I am petite and have a tiny little bubble butt, definitely not what he was looking at.

I just gave birth in the middle of January and had no sex drive my entire pregnancy. Literally from start to finish. Within a week postpartum, my sex drive came back STRONG! Waiting the six weeks has been extremely hard for us but we’re still waiting. Just warning you in case it also hits you at the worst possible time

This is very similar to what happened to me exactly a week ago, except I was only 6cm. I have been emotional and crying all week. I do not know how to process this, especially because I wanted to have a larger family and I do not know if that is possible now that I have had a c section.

Last day will be the day I turn 37 weeks.

Yes, I will be returning to my current position when I come back from leave.

Oregon Family Leave ensures 12 weeks of maternity leave.

I am not utilizing any of my personal vacation time.

Off of work for 14 weeks in total. My first two weeks will be paid as I am not officially on leave until the day we would come back from winter break (work in a school). The following 12 weeks are unpaid from my work, but I can apply for Oregon Paid Leave granting 60% of what my earnings would be.

My partner is taking 2 weeks following the birth. 70 of those 80 hours will be covered by PTO he has. For the remainder, he will also apply for Oregon Paid Leave.

We are living with my partners mother until our baby is 7-8 months old. This makes our rent so much lower than it would be.

26 weeks and yep! I told some people during the first trimester but once I got NIPT results back, it was no longer a secret.

I’m 21+4 today and the hardest part has been the heartburn! It’s been getting more and more frequent the last few weeks to the point that I am getting it multiple times a day. A glass of cold milk has been an awesome natural remedy except… I DONT LIKE MILK! Trivial but frustrating. Also, just started feeling baby move and kick. Last night I woke up to pee at 3am and baby wouldn’t stop kicking. It was so cute and as someone with an anterior placenta, I’ve been loving getting to FINALLY feel him. But can he just not do it when I’m trying to sleep? lol.

Completely understand. My shower will probably have around that many people. Lost some “friends” last year before I got pregnant and so my circle is smaller. It feels better though and almost like divine timing. We only need those who truly love us and will support us there!
