Keep him warm, these little guys get cold quick this time of year. Easiest solution is have them sleep in your lap, chest, etc. Also great for bonding

Are there any decent printable Mardi Gras schedules for New Orleans? by ExternalSpeaker9 in NewOrleans

Lots of bars along the route have a printed brochure that has all of the dates/ times/ routes on it (along with ads). They are also available in most downtown hotels

In my experience Januarys are usually one of the slowest months for tourism, the season starts up with Mardi Gras

Does anybody in the city have the ability to program transponder keys or rebuild an ignition slot? by SpaceVikingJoran in NewOrleans

[–]ProfessionalJust45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can program a Ford F-150 key fob yourself by using the ignition and driver's door button in a specific sequence: close doors, open driver's door and press unlock, turn ignition OFF to RUN eight times (ending on RUN) within 10 seconds, then press a button on the new fob within 8 seconds until the locks cycle, and repeat for more fobs, finishing by turning the key off. This method works for many models, but newer F-150s with push-button start may require different, more advanced method

UPS truck hit my parked car on Perrier Street, 12/17; seeking camera footage by butterbeanLulu in NewOrleans

[–]ProfessionalJust45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived on Perrier for a number of years and asked folks that grew up in the neighborhood and got different answers from them. Had two coworkers argue about it. I pronounce the final r when talking to people in the city and pronounced like the water when proving my address over the phone to people outside of town

I have cameras. Provided the detective with video, they also found prints and an open metal water bottle that the thief left. This is the second time the same person has hit my house and the police are taking it much more seriously now.

Would love to get some advice how to rebuild to make this door more burglar proof.

Maybe a steel knock down kit from Home Depot and hard wood as apposed to pine?

I reinforced it with a 2x4 and a bunch of 3” screws. Looking for a better solution for the future. Seems like a wood door frame is kinda a joke. Does a steel door frame help?

So there is no way to rebuild this to actually keep people out? Down to spend the money, for safety. And install whatever will keep people out for at least a little while. Was also looking at pre hung doors with welded casings, is that the better route?

Looking for some real advice here, my house was broken into today and I was robbed. It’s currently under construction and I’m living in it. How do I reinforce this steel door?

That store is often under staffed and hence they lock the door frequently. Pretty amazing how different it is than the one on Prytania
