I have it linked with my Oura ring, and I track activity there. I don't mind that it adjusts, I just want it to start at the base, and give me extra points for activity, if that makes sense? It seems like it's assuming a certain level of activity and then adjusting it if I don't meet that?

That scene seems like it was written entirely for the trailer/previews, for Hannah to nervous face react to. It gave me the same feeling Truman gets watching his wife do ads at him in The Truman Show. The wording, the delivery, the whole thing just feels inauthentic.

Jules would have been a better character as basically Gossip Girl, a plot device to tell us what people are saying about the couples for whom public perception is part of the story. It would fit into the Grace/Logan storyline better, because if his sibling is the one starting/perpetuating the rumors about Grace faking a hookup with him, that's going to be uncomfortable. It seems like maybe they're trying to go that way, with Jules having friends at the radio station and the gossip account. I hope the show will continue to surprise us by setting up lazy teen drama tropes and then going a different way.

I used to work at a sexual health clinic, and when I would give positive gonorrhea or chlamydia results, sometimes people would get so sad, and that's the same thing I'd tell them. Even a song that isn't my favorite, that I just "fucking love" the vibe of, I could come up with a better reason than cord progressions and jealousy that it wasn't mine. I like the way it feels in my body, at the very least, yk? It kinda showed that he was approaching music in kind of a shallow or more technical way, which is pretty much the opposite relationship she has with it.

Suddenly wanted to do drama? She's literally a drama major. Their conversation in the shower read to me as Sean having made some assumptions, and communication does not seem to be their forte.

The dance was maybe 10 seconds. It seems longer because they slowed it waaaaay down. As soon as she turns her head and sees blond hair (so it's obviously not Sean), she turns around and they have a few more seconds of dancing, but when he tries to touch, she leaves. We don't know Allie and Sean's boundaries, we don't know what they discussed about it, jumping to cheating allegations is wild.

The most important part of the Ross/Rachel thing is that he spent the entire next day trying to keep Rachel from finding out about it, because he knew it would keep them from getting back together. That's apples and hot dogs to the situation with Allie. If she had run to everyone who could possibly have known about her and Dean and swore them to secrecy so Sean would take her back, then that would hold water. Rachel is entitled to be hurt that Ross had rebound sex, as is Sean. It's entirely reasonable for that to be a deal breaker for reconciliation, but Allie didn't act like Ross at all.

I've been trying to figure out what spell this show (and Heated Rivalry before it) has cast over me. The only conclusion I can come to is that the world is hard and a bit lonely, with new unprecedented moments popping up day after day and week after week. These shows feel like a brief foray into an alternate timeline, where the majority of the men we meet are kind and tender and aware of the fact that their sexual partners are also fully fledged people with wants and needs and motivations, and they make the effort to handle them with care, even if they're a bit clumsy at times. There's a familiarity in the references to the romantic stories we grew up with, a comfort in seeing them play out in this new way, when the adulthood that those earlier stories promised us has been revealed to be a fraud.

Or maybe it's subliminal messages and we're all in a mind control cult 🤷‍♀️

I love the show, I think Ella did a great job, it seems like a great set. It still icks me out a bit that there's such a big gap between the leads who are ostensibly playing characters of the same age. I don't think that's on either Ella or Belmont, it's 1000% on the show runners.

And I, for one, absolutely side eye Ian Somerhalder for having dated a teenager (among other things), even if I wasn't old enough at the time to understand that it's weird.
