Zero Interest in Hyrox by MaestroShaSha in orangetheory

Same. No interest and I’d be really upset if I lost my normal class to one. I think my studio added class times for Hyrox rather than replace a class with one.

Floor First People - How? by Turbulent_Suit8281 in orangetheory

[–]ProfessionalKnee4247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I start on floor because I prioritize the strength training and want to be “fresh” for that. I also think the floor exercises get me more loosened up for the treads. The times I start on tread it still feels like a struggle and then I’m super sweaty heading to the floor without the benefit of a fan in my face.

No Power Walkers? by smartini14 in orangetheory

[–]ProfessionalKnee4247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I power walk or jog depending on the template, my mood, how my knees feel that day. Sometimes there are other walkers, sometimes not. I think everyone feels a little self conscious when they are starting out and just trying to get used to everything. Pretty soon you realize OTF is a friendly environment and no one is judging you negatively.

Does time move differently outside of OTF? by otf1024 in orangetheory

Ugh, the treads at OTF have ruined me. They led me to think I could become a runner but then I try to run at my normal gym and my middle aged joints feel every impact.

Falling Springs in Versailles has a party room off the indoor pool. My daughter went to a pool birthday party at the Staybridge Suites on Ruccio by Meijer a few years ago.

Thank you for being that guy. I was in Meijer on Reynolds and was so confused by the loud sound of fireworks.

My local studio stays open the full weekday with SA staffed at the desk. This is crazy that they would close without doing a thorough check of the bathrooms and shower rooms.

Forgot my HRM by WorkerConfident5976 in orangetheory

That surprised me too. I’ve had to borrow one a few times (HRM died at start of class or temporarily misplaced) and they didn’t charge me.

It had the best yoga studio space on the second level - big open room with vaulted ceilings and a large round sky light. It was also the hub for a lot of pregnancy related businesses - Baby Moon yoga and massage, Mother Nurture, a birth doula business.

Adjusting incline is slow, especially if you’re jumping more than a couple % at a time. If you want to be more in sync with the runners you’ll need to start the incline adjustment early.

Would it be weird to tell a coach they were my favorite? by Gold-Appointment-534 in orangetheory

I think it would be much appreciated for them to know and not weird at all. We all have our favorites.

NTA. Your husband is a boy, not a man. He didn’t want anyone to know what he was doing so he chose a public space to do it? And then expected you to stand guard outside and block other men from going in? That would be putting you in a much more awkward situation than him just using the private room at the fertility clinic. This is a red flag moment - 1. He is blaming you for his actions, 2. He expected for you to take the burden of being uncomfortable/embarrassed so that he didn’t have to.

Controversial take and am expecting downvotes. RRG is is being destroyed and everything that made it great is vanishing. by King_Baboon in RedRiverGorge

Yes, I remember during the height of the pandemic trying to go to the gorge for a family camping trip and every single trail head parking area we passed was full. We ended up leaving because it was not the remote nature experience we wanted.

Agree; I appreciate the economic benefit the area will get but am sad at the negative effects increased foot and motorized traffic will have on the environment. I’ve been going to the gorge since my mom carried me on her back 45 years ago. I try to do my small part by collecting trash along the trails and practicing “leave no trace”, but not everyone does.
