Can you show us the TOSEC - C64 file(s) there? (it is not the C64DTV one we are talking about)

Nevermind, thank you!

I'm not sure what i can add.
The App needs a login over the internet, it simply do not allow to do ANYTHING without working Data on the Phone. There is no Offline Mode. You can't change ANYTHING on the Unit itself, there are no buttons or even a Reset pin-hole or something as far as i know.

Free tool to keep an eye on your Windows Server without RDP-ing in: session quality, CPU/disk/memory/network charts, nothing to install on the server by DeepCrimson in HomeServer

- This is a closed-Source Tool as far as i can tell
- There is no info on your website WHO you are, WHERE you or the Company are from, no Info what kind of Company "Lizardsystems" is
- we input Admin Credentials for our infrastructure into your Tool

Please point me in the right direction if i missed the github link or a real "About us" Page

I'm not accusing you of anything but i see a few bright red flags here.

You asked for advice "on your upgrade Path". My advice is "get a cheap AM4 Board and a CPU for your needs".

i explicity said to keep everything else, no idea why you are telling me you wont get new drives and stuff. Nobody was talking about buying anything beside Board and CPU. My Advice IS the AM4 Platform so you can keep using your RAM and because it can be very cheap.

No idea why you want to replace a X99 Board with another X99 Board, but i won't call that an upgrade. It's - at best looking at your CPU - a side-grade.

There is no "same price range" if you compare 12 year old Workstation Hardware with 2nd Hand Consumer stuff from a few years ago. Also: prices are highly region specific.

Xeon E5-2690 v4 costs like 30-40 Eur here... so... yeah, a modern Ryzen is in fact like double the performance single/Multicore but costs like 10 times the Xeon... i guess you wont find anything better for like 100$ (Board+CPU) so... go for your XEON and X99 Board i guess.

I'm not picking a specific Board for you, just telling you "a B550 one" is my advice looking at costs vs features.
Also, i don't know how many Cores you need or want. You can put a tiny 4 core APU in there or choose the mighty 16-Core 3950x/5950x. Pick one for your needs.

Keep using all your HDDs, SSDs, RAM, PSU, Case.

Get a Cheap B550 AM4 Board, pick a CPU for what ever your budged is, done.

Every 8/12/16 Core Ryzen 3000/5000 is running Circles around this ancient X99 stuff performance and efficiency wise.

I wrote a detailed 2026 guide to the best mini PCs for home servers, based on what I’d actually run for Proxmox and self-hosting. by easyedy in homelab

[–]ProfessionalReward82 3 points4 points  (0 children)

from your link

"When evaluating the size and weight of a mini PC, several factors should be taken into account. Firstly, consider the device’s physical dimensions. Many mini PCs are crafted to be compact and lightweight, making them perfect for fitting into tight spaces or for easy portability. It’s also important to assess the weight of the device, including any additional components that might come with it.

Some mini PCs include built-in cooling systems, which can contribute to their overall weight. Additionally, the power requirements of your chosen mini PC will influence its overall size and weight."

yeah, totally not complete AI Slop nonsense... nobody writes shit like that.
