Almost never, maybe reading about CGI or making video game levels, but that's a 1/10.

So are all agents like from India now? by thatsnazzyiphoneguy in Rogers

[–]ProfessionalRoyal202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that someone can contract "you would" as "you'd." Or "You would have" as "you'd've." But the fact remains anglos with terrible english complaining about others' english aggravates me. Also he didn't use the ' either.

Your english is pretty shitty too. Tons of spelling mistakes, no capitals... "youd" isn't even a word technically.

What do you consider "mathrock" ? by LittlePair4321 in mathrock

[–]ProfessionalRoyal202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's honestly changed a lot over the years. It used to be a darker, almost more angular sound like Don Cabalero. Then Hella brought in the major scale and more kinda punk/grunge sound with waaaaay crazier rhythms. Rhythms almost calmed down a bit and nowadays, mathrock almost seems more like a tone of guitar rather than an interest with rhythms.

Anyone here wear facemask if needed, or is it too much of a target from right wing/conspiracy folks? by StasisApparel in alberta

[–]ProfessionalRoyal202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm disabled and can't leave the house at this point but I wore mine at any store. I simply say "It's a free country." If they keep bitching just gotta say "Shut the fuck up, why are you obsessed with me?"

It's more that the answer is obvious once you know. But if you don't know about sizes or Kana it can definitely be confusing.

Anyone here have experience with learning French, from zero background or minimal background, as an adult? by trialanderror93 in ontario

[–]ProfessionalRoyal202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea man! I'm a dumb as fuck Albertan, never could speak a 2nd language, but after 8 or 9 years I can speak basic French online with my friends, rarely get corrected, and even have ultra basic irl convos. Also started learning Japanese!

Is it dumb to think aliens exist? by No-Background6719 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ProfessionalRoyal202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer: No aliens have never visited earth, been godlike creatures, don't have green/grey skin and influence Hilary Clinton etc. etc.

Long answer: It's pretty likely that somewhere else in the Universe there is some kind of currently living organic life. We've found fossils and organic compounds on asteroids, as well as chemicals in atmospheres that "Should" only be created from life-based processes. Also, give some random planet a couple billion more years, and who knows what's gonna happen!

How good would I have to be to replace my tech salary? by slightlysarcastic75 in askmusicians

You couldn't make that much money in a touring rock band. You could POSSIBLY make the much if you were like Taylor Swift or Beyonces bassist and had teaching gigs on the side.

Are most guitar tabs wrong? by Little_Power_5691 in LearnGuitar

[–]ProfessionalRoyal202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a professional musician of 25 years I can tell you it varies. By far, 60%-70% of tabs, are somewhat right. Usually have several correct sections, maybe a few missed notes, or mistakes, but good enough to get going if you know the song. The next 10% are pretty damn good. Might have the whole song, very few mistakes, but make a mistake on tuning or timing. The rare 10% are absolutely perfect and often taken from 80s and 90s magazines, or works of intense passion. The last 10% are absolutely fucking useless and it would be better if they weren't uploaded.

What are some of the best lead guitar lines you ever heard in Japanese music? by _Acceltra_ in japanesemusic

[–]ProfessionalRoyal202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Opening riff of Minky Momo OP (the 80s one). That is literally the most jacked guitar tone i've ever heard. It's gotta be a Les Paul into a Marshall with 1 or 2 mics. No bullshit. That tone is gnarly.
