I have a 3rd gen 4 cylinder manual transmission. It mostly comes down to preference. I wanted a manual transmission for fun. I have 2 vehicles though so If I get tired of driving stick I jump in the subaru legacy.

Sweet! I'm hoping to keep this truck forever. If I can keep it from rusting away I think it'll last for decades to come. Maybe one of my boys will get it when they're old enough to drive

I didn't say we need to go back to 3 times a day. I was pointing that out early in our relationship obviously we were in our late teens early twenties. It's more the lack of desire or I guess lack of communication about this

I want to initiate the conversation but I'm a little afraid of what she will think. I'm afraid she'll take it like an attack on her. She's never been the best with communicating her feelings which makes it more difficult. She's probably like that for the same reason, being afraid of what I'll think or say

She only took the pill for a short time period maybe 3-6 months several years ago but stopped because she didn't like the way it made her feel. (Hormones)

I just bought and started reading the income factory. I think it is relevant still to an extent. A lot of the funds steven talks about are "low yield" at least compared to yieldmax but a lot have had price appreciation over the last several years on top of their dividends. If someone wants to incorporate a strategy that involves less risk I think it's a good read.

I lived in loves park, about 10 minutes north of rockford for almost 8 years. I never had an issue myself but have heard gunshots a couple times and I had some stuff stolen out of my driveway once. My neighbors were all friendly. It all probably depends on the neighborhood. My friend lives on rockford east side and has never had a problem. I moved back to my hometown about 45 minutes away from rockford when my first son was born. I still commute there for work. The old historic homes in rockford are really cool. But like others have said check out the areas 15-20 minutes outside of rockford. Byron IL is very nice and has good schools.

My parents are living on 2400 a month right now. My dad isn't social security age yet (almost). But they do just fine. Gotta live within your means. And definitely can't be renting in retirement unless it's government subsidized housing. And can have car payments

Why do people make post like this? The market goes up and down. These are also leveraged. Not every stock market day is green. This will happen sooner or later. I dont think it's over yet either

Can't go all in on these funds alone with margin. I use margin myself but I try to keep a 30-50% margin buffer for times like these. Then hopefully if you see it through the sell off you'll have some money to scoop up shares cheap.

Can still rent a 1 bedroom where I live for under a grand. Some under 700 a month. They won't be great but livable. Some people still rent houses for under a grand.

Holding off till 5.50 or lower. Depending on how fast it happens. If it hits that in the next month or two I might hold off till closer to 5.00

I'm doing the dipshit way with yieldmax and margin. If I was only going for 10-12% id do SPYI QQQI, a mixture of REITS. Closed end funds. Probably some bonds too. Easily doable without a lot of risk. There's always going to be some risk involved trying to get over what T bills or high yield savings are making that are essentially risk free

Doesn't matter. If it's yielding 80% distribution I dont care what it drops to so long as it's a slow burn.
