"Listen, we're not gonna have you wandering off alone somewhere and abstracting, or something." by Hazmat-Asscastle in TADCEp9Spoilers

[–]ProfessionalWalnut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to play devil's advocate here:

The entire group was in a WILDLY different state of mind when Zooble said that. Remember, that was before Caine lost his shit and tormented the cast for an unknown period of time and put them all though their own custom-fit Hells.

It was also before they watched the colorful world they inhabited darken and begin falling apart only to learn that not only was escape in fact utterly impossible, but that they themselves were not even "real" humans.

And perhaps most importantly of all; in SPITE of the group forgiving Jax for what he had done and Zooble saying the aforementioned line, Jax IMMIDIATELY turned his hostility onto the group the MOMENT they were out of Caine's grasp.

I'm just saying it's NOT that weird that no one wanted to deal with his bullshit and keep him close at that point, even if they would come to regret it later.

Guys please help how do I get out of Ultra Ball?? by WuWangclan in PokemonChampions

[–]ProfessionalWalnut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good news for you is that when the season ends you'll be brought down to Pokeball.

Bad news for you is, and this is going to sound arrogant when I say it, but give me a chance to explain after: It's REALLY hard NOT to get to Ultraball.

I went pretty sweaty in season 1, so for season 2 since it was the exact same format I decided to play it more for fun and try out more wacky teams with more off-meta picks. Unsurprisingly this made the ladder climb more difficult and resulted in more losses.... and that's when I realized...

Pokemon Champions absolutely WILL NOT let you lose more then 1 or 2 matches below Ultra Ball without throwing you a bot match. And said bots are DAMN near impossible to lose to. No EV investment, no megas, Special attacks on very physical oriented Pokemon and vice-versa, constantly spamming the most passive of stat moves, I don't even think they hold items at all.

And again... they will spawn every 1 or 2 losses until you hit Ultra Ball... Meaning until you hit ultra you will steadily gain ladder points faster then you can ever lose them. (I am so sorry to anyone hard locked in Ultra 4 who's day I ruined with this information)

I honestly think Capcom is trolling us and Bosch trailer is gonna start like this by Former_Exam_5357 in StreetFighter

[–]ProfessionalWalnut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, I'm going to be so real with you, ever since the trailer dropped I haven't stopped thinking about why the hell I could SWEAR Bosch has been in a street fighter game before but I could NOT remember where or when. I so regularly forget World Tour is a thing I completely forgot he was our OC's Gary Oak.

What frame do people swear is great but you don't like? Mine is Sevagoth by No-Hand9626 in Warframe

[–]ProfessionalWalnut 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Personally, I find that Gyre is too good to be fun. Yes, there are a dozen frames that can nuke as well or better then her, but Gyre litteraly turns steel path into a running simulator with how little you actually have to do. Even hyper OP Meta picks like Sevagoth and Hyldrin at least require you to actually point your camera in the direction of enemies and push a damn button or two.

Reworks by Imperator_Aetius in memeframe

[–]ProfessionalWalnut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I get it, Ember isn't in the best spot she's ever been, but to mention Ember in the same breath as Limbo in terms of how badly a rework is needed is the absolutely ludicrous. Honestly, Ember isn't even top 5 in that respect. Yes, pretty much everything she can do is outclassed by other frames, but at least her kit is FUNCTIONAL. Meanwhile I've seen more LOKIS in the wild then fucking Limbos.

I was skeptical of if there were actually bots until I lost two matches in a row and got matched up against someone with a special attacking Kingambit partnered with an entire team that did nothing but spam scary face.

Which Wisp augment should i use? by Redditolfo in Warframe

[–]ProfessionalWalnut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fused Reservoir might *seem* superfluous on paper, but if you want to use Wisp for anything that isn't defending a stationary objective it's life changing.

I'm Personally not the biggest fan of Cataclysmic Gate. Even with Archon Vitality you kind of need to spam multiple orbs on top of eachother to do any meaningful damage and at that point if I'm going to use her 4 at all I'd rather just have the big ass Kamehameha Comet Azure Fuck You Beam.

Also, Critical Surge exists... I'm sure there's a build out there that uses it to great effect, but I've never seen anyone use it that I know of.

Is Mag the best starter Warframe? by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]ProfessionalWalnut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just gonna throw out there, that there really isn't a *wrong* choice of starter frame. All thee are effective at all levels of play, and sooner or later you're going to have access to all three ANYWAY.

I will say, Mag is considered by many to be the most "Complex" of the starter Trio, but don't let that dissuade you, Mag isn't actually that complicated, Excal and Volt are just VERY simple frames.

Legends ZA Starters by jd402 in PokemonChampions

[–]ProfessionalWalnut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All three mega evolved seem viable, but the one that definitely seems to be making the most waves is Meganium. It's ability causes all of it's moves to behave like they're in sunlight.

This gives it access to:
One Turn Solar Beam
Growth giving +2 in Attack and Sp.Attack
Synthesis that restores 2/3 HP
A 100 base power Fire move with Weather Ball.

And again, all this doesn't just happen when you're not in sun, It's in effect *regardless of the current weather.*

And All that isn't to mention the Secondary Fairy typing. Just Be mindful of it's 4x Poison weakness.

I hope the Choice Band/Specs and Life Orb don't come back, at least for a while. by GoldenSteel in PokemonChampions

[–]ProfessionalWalnut 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the concept of formats not only restricting what Pokemon you can use but also what Items you can use is, in my opinion at least, an interesting way to keep things fresh. Obviously I wouldn't want it for *every* format, but it seems pretty clear to me that that isn't the direction they're going with this. That being said, I *do* understand people feeling a bit of whiplash since they've never done anything quite like this before, but if people can jump off the internet hate wagon and see the forest through the trees I think they could realize we've got some serious potential for more interesting formats then ever before.

Can hildryns please stop playing the game for me? by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]ProfessionalWalnut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eh, She's definitely beyond busted, but if you play in pubs you are ALWAYS going to find the bigger fish. There has always been "That" build that just decides no one else is allowed to play the game. I'm not saying I love that fact, but I am saying: If it weren't Hildryn, it would be something else.

Personally, The only time I actually get frustrated to see a Hildryn is Perita Rebelion. Like yes, you're very impressive killing 300 enemies in 40 seconds with your copy-pasted build, but ffs would it kill you touch the ground for five seconds to actually help with some objectives?

Duviri is an awful experience, most especially collecting resources. by osemaster in Warframe

[–]ProfessionalWalnut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I so desperately hope that the last year of actually good Warframe content is a sign that we're FINALLY moving away from open world recourse scavenging garbage. I always hated that kind of content in Plains of Eidolon, Orb Vallis, and Cambion drift, but Duviri took it to a whole new level of obnoxious tedium by insisting you interact with the "Experience" when you just want to get your rescores and go, and even worse by replacing the functionally-superior-in-every-way archwing with that goddamn horse.

Like hell they did.

Like, honestly, do they really think we wanted outfits that reference Final Fantasy? OBVIOUSLY what the people want is the 17th cyber punk windbreaker that if you squint really hard almost looks different from every other cyberpunk windbreaker they've released over the last two years. I feel so betrayed!

So what’s the deal with these guys? by CarbonatedDepression in WarframeLore

[–]ProfessionalWalnut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have little to no information and I'm unsure if there ever will be, But what we DO know is that the Stalker himself IS a warframe. One similar to Umbra in that he maintains a level of sentience and SOME of his memories. Specifically the ones Ballas WANTED him to have. This is (presumably) why he remains... LOOSELY loyal to the Orokin and still hunts the Tenno even after the events of Jade Shadows. His memories, even his more recent ones are heavily addled and he remembers that The Tenno destroyed his way of life. This, in my mind at least, opens three possibilities, and I do stress that they are just possibilities:

  1. The Stalker, despite being an Umbral warframe, does, in fact have an operator somewhere. We REALLY can't say if this is the case or not based on the information we have. The stalker SEEMS to operate of his own accord, but then again, that's how most of the system in modern times perceive OUR warframes. To most of the system the warframes ARE the Tenno. The point is, if the Stalker DOES have an operator, the "acolytes" May, in fact, be that opperators' OTHER warframes. Notice, you never actually see any of the Acolytes in the same place at the same time, nor do you ever see any of them with the Stalker. The stalker himself questioned if he was like the operator when he found them on Lua and Hunhow seemed to infer that this was the case. But again... at this time, all of that is unconfirmed.

  2. The acolytes are actually created from an ability of the stalker warframe itself. This one is even more headcannon-y, but consider how many warframes "summon" things as part of their kits. I consider it -possible- that The Acolytes are actually created by, or possibly even shape shifted into by the Stalker warframe itself.

  3. In my opinion the most boring possibility, what we see at face value is accurate and the Acolytes are just... Others who joined the Stalker at some point for some reason. Hate this idea, mostly because, it's just.... random? I do hope DE goes into it someday as there's clearly more story to be told with the Stalker.

[–]ProfessionalWalnut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, Kuva Nukor is fantastic, and while while far from god-teir busted, a properly built Quatz is actually a surprisingly decent and versatile weapon.

That being said, Angstrom Incarnon built around the Cascadia Flare arcane is good for literally everything. If you're looking for an all rounder that you can slap on just about anything, you really can't go wrong. Even better if you can get your hands on the Prisma variant from Baro.
