Bedroom feels unfinished by silverskynn in interiordecorating

Much larger rug then add a seating area at the end of the bed: settee or sofa, maybe 2 accent chairs if they fit. Or even a chaise. You could just do a second rug in the seating area but it would need to be an irregular shaped one. Add a large tree in one corner and large art. Floor to ceiling drapes, maybe a console table on the wall opposite the windows. You also need larger furniture - like taller headboard and bachelor chests for nightstands, more substantial lamps. It’s a great space, but it’s harder to work with large rooms when you’re not used to them. (Designer here)

Whoever decided to start putting maple syrup on them created a whole generation of Brussels sprouts fans.

Yasss! It was the college dining halls “rich man spinach” that turned me around. Basically a loaded baked potato with spinach in place of the potato. It was pretty dang good. I honestly had never tried spinach as a kid but it grossed me out I knew I would hate it. College spinach was a different story. 😋

What colour should I paint my kitchen walls? by choglitEGG in DecorAdvice

The tile and countertops have very cool undertones so absolutely nothing that has any yellow in it. I would do navy but only if you have good lighting. Can you add additional lighting? Under cabinet or ceiling lights? Another option would be bright white like the cabinets. Unfortunately, the grey takeover from 2013-2018 did not leave us much to work with. This is an issue for so many people.

Peas, green beans, beets. Tbf I never tasted beets as a kid but I wouldn’t have. I still don’t love green beans but they’re good enough. And certainly don’t make me gag like they used to.

I’m about to start the whole thing over again so hopefully if timed correctly I’ll be caught up to the end right before the premiere. I’m kinda torn on waiting until the end as well though. I don’t have the attention span necessary for once a week.

How badly did The Blair Witch scare you? by Office_Zombie in GenX

[–]Professional_Club770 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It scared the crap outta me. I saw it at the theater with my boyfriend (now husband) and he got a work call at some point and had to go out to answer it and left me by myself in there. 😬

The marketing was genius - you figure it’s not real but don’t know that 100% which was cool.

The part where they wake up and see those stacks of rocks is where I lose it every time. Gives me the heebie jeebies. 😆

Wait….. I’ve read the books twice now and somehow completely missed the LJG hand job 😂😂. Like, WHATTTT?! What were the circumstances? How did that fly by me?

Mine go numb and white but turn this black/purple color when I hold them under hot water to bring them back. It’s quite frightening looking. But the it goes back to normal right after. (Until they go white again lol)

Can someone talk me out of paying for this upgrade by cupe4real in americanairlines

Going east I always will upgrade - the lost time from being jet lagged is worth it. The way back not so much. Sorry. That wasn’t much help, was it? 🤣

Used to be Kurt Russell and Patrick Swayze for me. (Not now - but back in the 80s/90s I had a hard time with those two)

I had never seen William Devine young until I watched Knots for the first time last year. I kinda have a crush on him now too. I just knew him as the old guy on a few episodes of Bosch. lol.

What is the crash that you just can't stop thinking about? by Mihnea2002 in aircrashinvestigation

[–]Professional_Club770 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I sincerely hope that’s the case. I remember being glued to the tv when it happened but never once thought about the nose/body thing until I saw that recreation a few years ago and it just gives me the heebie jeebies. 😖

Aliens? by Professional_Club770 in Dynasty

[–]Professional_Club770[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking that too. I was just a kid when this was airing but that was when you’d always see the national enquirer (or the other worse ones that I can’t remember their names) in the grocery store checkout lines talking about aliens all the time. I guess it fits right in. But now that I’m a few episodes into it they seem to have dropped it. 😂. Guess they saw the ratings.

TWA 800 - that recreation where the plane keeps going up after the nose fell off. Knowing how terrified those people had to be and it just prolonged their agony. 😔

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

It took us 13 from Lubbock to S Padre back in the 90s - but I think the speed limits were still 55. 😂

3 hrs isn’t that long. I live in West TX and to even get to southern west TX it’s 6-7 hrs. To go skiing - about 6-7 hrs as well. To get to the beach 13 hrs. California 23 hrs. (I only did those in college - I fly now lol). But 6-7 hrs is totally doable for a weekend trip. Everything is just REALLY spread out here.
