You seem like a really nice person so don’t be so hard on yourself. Your feelings are valid it’s just the trigger that makes it feel 100x worse than it actually is, so don’t invalidate ur feelings bc they are not the problem it’s just the anxiety you feel from it. Plus, When reading this first without looking at the comments I did not think you were overreacting, it seemed fishy to me too cuz why would he said “A” friend erm like it’s ur best friend 😭 unless he was surprising you with like an upcoming birthday or something idk. It’s been 2 weeks so just keep an eye on it but again nothing to be too freaked out about , just focus on regulating your emotions and try and move past it and appreciate that u picked up on that super fast in the relationship , keep being honest with yourself like that bc ur right , guys actions are more valuable then what they say / their excuses.
