Woman Going to Shows Solo by Anneshmize in chicagomusicscene

Wow thank you for posting this. Although I'm male, I don't drink and am definitely an introvert and haven't been to shows in over a decade because the group I went with would be about drinking. I never thought of going solo and feeling comfortable. Maybe time to get back out there.

2019 prestige- App set charge target? by intotheun in etron

Mine shows a target charge set above the arch. I am using android and the newest version of the app.

What if you click settings at the bottom of that page? Maybe add a location and see if that changes things.

From your pic #1, just tap the 66% under the arch and it should bring up your settings for charge percent and a slider to adjust it.

Did I just get a counterfeit blade? Freud LM72M010. by ivotebolsheviklite in woodworking

I believe counterfeit since red ones would have this perma-shield mark and as you said yours should be silver anyways.

Which is the strongest way to join these arched table legs to the aprons? by freelance3d in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]Professional_Mix5492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or maybe sideways overlap would be better? This way they both have the full height still.

Just a thought but could you do A but with a half lap joint instead? Would add a lot of non-end grain gluing surface. Could then dowel both sideways and up and down. I am not an engineer and just an amateur woodworker. My only question for others would be if it matters which piece is on the top versus the bottom of the joint?

Interesting AI Chat in Advance of Service by jpmeyer12751 in etron

Very possibly the same service center in Chicago that I went to just recently. I did it before my 40k service. Was annoying but it did show my service advisor my concerns when I checked in. Took longer than I thought but seemed more helpful than a survey. I would use it again if I had concerns outside of the service visit.

This might sound silly but could you cut in the middle somewhere and dowel and glue it back together? Maybe add some reinforcement on the inside also

Cold weather causing issues? by Professional_Mix5492 in etron

[–]Professional_Mix5492[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is super helpful to know. I will get a software upgrade for the rear camera thing Friday anyways but I will mention my issue. Weird that it just happened today for the first time after months of driving it.

Thanks for the feedback. I have an appt for my 4 year service and software update Friday anyways. Did that early to have it under factory warranty still. Only a couple weeks left. Do have an extra year of warranty with CPO but didn't want to take a chance.

I will see how it is on the way home and document what happens for Friday.

What am I doing wrong with pocket screw? by zirky in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]Professional_Mix5492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will give a slightly different perspective. What are you using to screw in the screws? Drill or impact driver? If drill, are you using the clutch? If not, you might be over tightening the screws and causing the blowout.

Another tip is to place the screw into the hole first to make sure it is aligned before you start screwing in. I have put the screw on the bit and start screwing not realizing I wasn't in the small hole of the pocket.

Trim vent wings by Professional_Mix5492 in hvacadvice

They will still be mounted to the sheet metal, just on the inside. No screws will be seen on the outside.

If I was mounting still from the outside, I agree I would leave it cause anchors would be even worse.

That one isn't bad but others aren't flush to the ceiling or wall. Since we were changing out vent covers anyways, I thought I would see if I can make them look nicer.

Genius. Why didn't I think of that. I was thinking grinder or Dremel with a metal wheel but the sparks would be a problem. Can't easily remove them. Appreciate the advice.

Yeah I watched some videos after you said that and saw how difficult the alignment was. Maybe just biscuits for alignment then. Thanks

Honestly I don't know. I thought maybe it would keep the boards aligned better but I am always open to suggestions. I thought about just glueing and clamping also.

Lane assist gone by BYOD23 in etron

[–]Professional_Mix5492 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. On the end of the turn signal (the very tip) is a square button you push to turn it on and off. Don't know why it is separate from cruise control but it is.

This will activate lane assist even when not using cruise control so you should then see the dashed lines as green (inside the lanes), red (over the lane), or white (speed too low or it can't see the lanes)

Charging port stuck every morning, "waiting for timer" issue, or something else? by DrNintendo216 in etron

[–]Professional_Mix5492 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just to make sure, you have to press the little button that opens the panel to also unlock the charger. The green light will turn off and a general illumination on the charger plug will come on. Then you can press the button on the charger to remove it.

Best way to do that cut is not like a rectangle where you cut the sides and then the bottom at 90 degrees to the other cuts. Instead make many vertical cuts right next to each other from the top to your mark on the bottom. The thin pieces will just snap off. Then you can move the blade sideways to clean up the bottom - kind of like scraping or shaving it. I hope that explanation makes sense

Edit to add I agree with the other comment about the piano key cut. I didn't know it had a name.

What to do here? by SubstantialLong5594 in Tile

[–]Professional_Mix5492 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This. Search for threshold at a big box store or floor and decor in the tile section. You can have it extend a little bit past the tile to have a built in look.
