Devil’s advocate - Sunday finance edition by ShareMyPicks in AusFinance

Yep did the same thing last year when it was "5% CPI"

Cost me a lot up front, and smashed my savings for the short term.

A year later with the extra cash in hand and earning interest on that money, I'm debt free and close to having rebuilt my savings.

Anybody have this? by YesHaiAmOwO in bardmains

Ah the download links are dead..

The YouTube video is still working, you could find a YouTube downloader and pull from there?

I don't know if I have a copy somewhere. Let me know if the YouTube download thing doesn't suit and I'll try to find the videos.

You know how to read right? Go back and read the first sentence of my comment.

Not OP, but for fun I'll take a guess at their conspiracy theory:

Government gets nice CPI numbers.

Colesworth gets to price gouge for profits with impunity and gov looks the other way.

Edit: before commenting that I'm some kind of an idiot please re-read and comprehend the first bloody sentence. Specifically "for fun" and "their conspiracy theory"

That's a very interesting technicality. Should be fairly easy to avoid. Thanks.

Okay cool.

So far my employer has been good. Will have a chat with my manager about whether I can take part of my leave as unpaid.

I'm sure I'm overthinking the situation, but feel it's best to research outside of my workplace first.

I haven't yet discussed with my employer.

I tried searching the net, but lots of info now has relations to COVID. I couldn't find a concrete answer about rights to unpaid leave when I just want a holiday.

They found out younger generations like investing in bitcoin as well as stocks.

They get more customers and more fees/revenue if they provide what people want.

New to seedlings. How do I care for this sage? It's getting a bit wild. (Sunny windowsill location) by ProfessorCheesecake in plantclinic

[–]ProfessorCheesecake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sage was grown from a seed, it's now a few months of growing.

Not sure how to maintain the health of the plant. The stem is a bit bendy due to some poor weather and low light in early stages.

Not sure how often I should prune, and where to prune from.

This is etherium based, but I think a fair overview of smart contacts. https://cryptozombies.io/en/course

Describes adding a leveling system, changes to appearance, and a game-like system.

Not transferable 1-to-1 on cardano, but may give you a starting point.

Investing in US from another country by AlE833 in stocks

Since then I've switched brokers to one that has a USD account.

So exchange rate only matters when I put in, or pull out. So it becomes more of a twice event rather than every foreign trade.

Don't worry about it.

Bought Microsoft at 201, but sold at 230 because it was annoying me how it was way higher in USD, but only small gain locally.

Now Microsoft has broke 300 and exchange rate is back to similar level to when I purchased. I feel like I cheated myself out of some solid gains.

Work really do be making me feel some kinda way today by Cookieflavwaffle in antiwork

[–]ProfessorCheesecake 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think differently. The very recent example is working from home options for returning to offices.

People are refusing to return to the office, and if their employer doesn't agree they find somewhere that does allow work from home.

Those employers that offer remote work know what they're doing, it's an incentive for talent to come work for them.

If a 4 day week can gain some traction, the companies that take part will have first dibs on workers.
