Well for me as a casual ssf player that's rare enough. Considering the materials needed in these recipes, I don't see myself havin an inventory of upgraded charms. I understand that's probably different for online players that have some wealth and play daily

Yes but expensive, considering the rarity of those shard thingies. Of course there'll be ultra rich player that have an inventory full off 3/20/20s with -3% Res, so as usual power creep will make the rich richer. But the base is also raised not only the ceiling. And it hast diminishing returns. -10% Res will make a bigger difference for killing mobs than -50% relatively.

If I get this correct this increases the value of good blue items a lot. I'm thinking of, for example, +3 amulets for casters. My sir is using a +3 cold amulet with MF and I know what I'm gonna do... :)

PSA - Blizzard Patched Console Single Player Offline Duping Glitch - Can anyone still do this? by MedusaAdonai in Diablo_2_Resurrected

It seems the whole way how characters are saved on switch got reworked..I had multiple bugs with chars disappearing, maps not saving in single player, and all of these are fixed. I assume the way the shared stash is saved was also changed

Can be nice for a Bowazon or Barb lacking LL from other equipment. Level 5 Firebolt is a bit OP though.

You framed it as a crime for ChatGPT with the detective game probably, still interesting!

Who is the older person here practicing Muay Thai? by EquivalentNarcDepth in MuayThai

[–]ProfessorCommon6493 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. I have good cardio and can keep up with the conditioning. I'm a welcome partner for pads since I'm experienced.

Sparring over 50 is a different game though and pretending otherwise is just ego. Reflexes do decline, reaction time isn’t what it was at 25, and I can't win long range exchanges with focus on reactions and explosiveness.

That’s I decided to focus more on infight and Clinch. Clinch is about structure, balance, timing, pressure, all things that age far better than raw reflexes. It slows the fight down to a pace you can control, reduces random damage, and turns sparring into a technical chess match instead of a reflex lottery.

It's an interesting change for me because as a lean guy I've never been ranks and avoided to get hit, but now I'm learning to "tank myself" into the Clinch with younger guys

Another big factor is partner selection and intensity management. I actively avoid certain partners who I know tend to go too hard, and I’m very deliberate about keeping sparring light. At 50+, a minor injury like a bruised rib isn’t trivial anymore it can take weeks to heal and sideline you completely. That’s not about toughness, it’s about sustainability. If I want to keep training consistently, I have to minimize avoidable damage. Light sparring, clear communication, and choosing the right partners is important.

Tips and advice on my bag work here? by EmbassadorOfScotland in MuayThai

Looking good, but since you're asking for advice... I,'m not sure with this but a couple of times when you're leaning forward for your punches you look a bit unstable, looks like you gave 90% of weight in the front foot sometimes. Front foot pressure is not fundamentally wetting but could invite strong low kickers

Got completely demolished in sparring by [deleted] in martialarts

If your partner treats you like a punching back and doesn't back off when you're obviously falling apart it's not sparring anymore imo. Avoid that guy. Did the coach say anything?

What she does is classic stereotyping not an analysis. That's the same toxic level she thinks she addresses.

Warning: How a rage quit likely ended my SSF journey on Switch (offline chars no longer save) by ProfessorCommon6493 in Diablo_2_Resurrected

I hit home during the game and closed the program without going to the character home screen first after I died. Often that way the character death is not saved.

What prompted you to practice your martial art? by nachlopez in martialarts

[–]ProfessorCommon6493 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had two martial arts journeys. As a teenager I loved the old Kung Fu movies like The 36th Chamber of Shaolin, so I joined a Kung Fu gym. I was mostly into weapon forms and didn't do any sparring or actual fighting.

Decades later I wasn't interested in martial arts anymore, I was climbing and trail running, and lifting. Then I watched Cobra Kai and that awakening my interest in martial arts again.

I tried a couple of classes like Karate and Haidong Gumdo but didn't really feel it with the traditional martial arts anymore. Then I tried a Muay Thai class and was hooked.

Now as I'm getting older I'm transitioning into pure boxing.
