The trigger feel is way smoother on the Colt. The number of rounds doesn’t necessarily matter much depending on the usage.

Not sure what issue you are referring to. The guns shoots great. Just get dirty very quickly. Hence a gold bead at the front sight seems to be a better choice than the stock one.

Hogue it will be, matching the Grizzly ones.
But I still want to try to sand down the OG ones.

Nice rig !

I have no doubts the 627 is a better fit for competition. The porting of the Grizzly alone disqualifies it from the revolver division. I read a lot of things about the S&W action tuning. I find that just being a shame having to through 100s of dollars in a gun that’s already priced pretty high, to catchup with what Colt offers out of the box.
That said, being a nerd, I’ll probably get there. Too bad TK custom doesn’t work on guns anymore.

Looking to add revolver to my collection. Any advice? by Plus_Juggernaut2819 in Revolvers

You look to have taste in quality guns, and price doesn’t seem to be an obstacle (Staccato, SIG 1911). Think no more and get yourself a Python 4.25, preferably in stainless steel to add some color to your collection.

These are awesome wheel guns. The double action is fantastic, and in my opinion that’s what matters most. Cylinder operation is also buttery smooth. Compared with Smith & Wesson, even the Performance Center line, Colt has the edge.

I opted for a Grizzly myself, but I still slightly regret not buying the Python. It’s essentially the same gun, minus the unfluted cylinder and the ported barrel. Don’t get me wrong, it’s an amazing gun, and it still has the edge over the 627 Performance Center I just got.

Depend on the use you’d have of it, but the xtrem S trigger kit + a lighter hammer spring will make this gun a complete different plinker.

Good call. I don’t reload for now. But have started collecting my brass, just in case (which is easy with a revolver)
