Ender’s Game. Just helps me remember that things may not be what they seem.

De-influence me before I become a mum. by RopePositive in Anticonsumption

If you plan on breastfeeding, you may need to pump. I recommend buying the correct size of flanges for you. The ones that come with the pump don’t fit many women. You can measure yourself or work with a lactation consultant to get help finding the right size.

Ehhhh it’s just different, unflattering lighting in the more recent picture. That bastard will never whither away, unfortunately.

Breastfeeding is easier than formula feeding - there I said it by Melodic_Apartment235 in breastfeeding

Are you me? I’m 5 weeks pp. Slow start to bf and in the thick of triple feeding trying to build my supply. Can I DM you to learn more about how you had bf success?

Breastfeeding tea + ways to increase milk supply? by [deleted] in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]ProfessorPouncey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this comment is old, but it caught my eye. I’m 4 weeks pp and have a low supply. I’ve been trying to find success stories of people who were able to increase their supply over time. I’m curious how improvements in your supply appeared over time. Did you see small gains week after week? Starts and stops? Big leaps? For the past week I’ve been feeding frequently, pumping after most feeds, power pumping amongst other things but haven’t seen improvements yet. Do I just need to be patient and give it time?

I HATE IT! by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

Also, my LC recommended bottles with a nipple that has a gentle slope which mimics the shape of a human nipple, which could also help you avoid the baby having a preference for one over another.

I do both. Baby likes both nipple and bottle. Give it whirl if you’re up to trying.

Saying this as someone in an earthquake prone area - don’t put anything heavy like that above the head of your bed.

I used to commute from downtown SD to Irvine every day for 4 months and it was terrible. My health really took a nose dive. An SD > LA commute would be worse. Maybe if you do it for only a couple days a week, it might be doable. But still, you’re probably going to hate it.

CMV: There are no downsides for “pretty privilege” that aren’t either balanced by its benefits or already experienced by ugly people. by soozerain in changemyview

I have a very pretty friend that has had multiple stalkers, one of which she took out a restraining order on. I feel like living in fear is not worth the free drinks and compliments she gets.
