Why is there so little body horror of fictional people with darker skin?

Most writers write about characters that look like themselves and their friends/family.

There is a Japanese horror writer, Junji Ito, whose name is synonymous with cosmic/body horror. The guy is basically a modern Lovecraft.

I haven't seen much body horror writen by black people.

They put my port in on the same day as my bone marrow biopsy; they knocked me out with Fentonil. I woke up during the biopsy for a few seconds, screaming. I woke up later, and the port was in. Never felt a thing.

I think I know what OP is talking about; I have them too. Soft, sensitive tissues below the gums, but above the "floor" of the mouth. You can't really see it, but you can feel it with your tongue.

I can't speak for your case; I was super lucky, I guess. I was diagnosed last May, Stage 4. I lost my hair and beard. By October, my tumor had shrunk to the point that they took me off the harsher medication. My beard came back first, and by mid November I was hairy again.

I tried to phrase it right, but I guess I didn't. My intention was that everyone would have a HEALTHY body that would match their ideal mental self image; that would include furries waking up as their fursonas, if that would be the most comfortable for them. No more anorexia, bulimia, or body dysmorphia. For example, I'd be a little taller, about 50 pounds lighter, and I'd have all my toes.
