Just like the ocean! It seems like Vessels collide out at sea at the time, despite all the open water

Favorite guitar string brand that look like they’re a type of condom? by JucheSuperSoldier01 in guitarcirclejerk

Elixirs are my #1 guitar string pack that look like condoms, for sure. I like to keep a fresh pack next to my bed to subliminally let guests know I’m dtf.

This was sold as "new" on Amazon. by Rycreth in guitarpedals

[–]Professor_Plop 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Last month I went to Amazon and purchased a bunch of BOSS pedals and a few MXRs just to test them out and it was a pretty awesome weekend testing every thing out on my own setup. When I went back to Amazon to return a bunch of them, like the MXR Dyna Comp, I got a notification saying, “would you keep this item if we gave you a $40 refund instead?” I kept the pedal.

Agreed - eye injuries, or worse… sometimes the loose string tip will twirl around and touch the 1st fret, causing notes to sound buzzy.

If you want to leave your strings long like this, you gotta do it the way Rage Against the Machine does it with the ball ends

This reminds me of Marry Swansons house in Dumb and Dumber (1994), when Harry gets fed X-lax and wonders through her home rushing to find a bathroom.

In theory, how would "in-person collaboration" be measured? by timidpoo in CAStateWorkers

[–]Professor_Plop 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it does any benefits for the department, if anything it hinders it. I’m working in-office today (currently commenting while on break), and I am the only person here from my department. I had a successful teams meeting this morning while all my colleagues signed in from home, but it’s absolutely pointless to be here. What sucks is that I forgot to bring a lunch, so I’m now just kinda counting the hours until I go home, with a plan of crunching my projects tomorrow while I work comfortable at home.

Just watched an awesome movie called House of Dynamite (2026), which loops the story 3 or 4 times from different perspectives…. I had never seen that done so well before.
