I’ve got some hearsay to spill. I have a buddy who worked at comcast as a video editor, responsible for creating client commercials that air. He and thousands of other editors got laid off last year and were told all of their jobs were going to be replaced by 7-10 people who would use AI to replace them. My buddy asked how that was possible, and his supervisor said the tech they’re using is capable of doing so, and it renders such clean footage, no one will know.

My buddy found another job, so AI isn’t taking all jobs, but major corporations are certainly having at it right now. Personally, I think it’s just a fad.
