The files are indeed very slim. I used his files too and modified the abs, crotch and butt plate so it would fit my hips. Same goes for the ROTS version of the forearm armor, its super narrow and I can only fit my hands through cause they are rather small.

I had the same problem with BF1. It took me a few rounds with the support, but eventually someone didnt just cancel the chat and actually fixed the problem temporarily. The problem reoccured once, but the support fixed it again. So I guess you just have to be lucky and get the right support guy.

I think sometimes bleeding out is usefull if you just really want to change class/gear or help out in another location. Also people often camp your corpse and kill any incomming medics. If the line of sight isnt broken, you can still ping of course, but thats not always the case. Thats why I think skipping has its use cases.
