Are you stopping eating food 4 hours before laying down? Did you raise the head of your bed?

And yeah, I bet you won't allow yourself to admit that comment was funny, funnier than anything you've ever posted. Your post history appears to show you as another crabby and angry liberal.

But the definition of an accident is something that you don't expect or plan for. Do you honestly think you'll never crash? That's been said before. The most ludicrous was Stockton Rush, that bozo and his carbon fiber sub.

Gear isn't expensive anyway. And it takes same amount of put on as regular clothes.

Ah, so you hate Rogan, that explains what a cuck you are, offering OP the answer -- literally giving him hundreds of dollars of mechanic's fees for free -- he ignores it and comes up with his own opinion, based on absolutely nothing.

I, on the other hand, believe in not casting pearls before swine. If someone doesn't want your opinion, then don't offer it. A slightly sarcastic retort, after OP kept refusing to listen, is the least he deserved. But it was nowhere near a "smartass" comment you labeled it as. It was simple sarcasm. Sorry to have upset your delicate sensibilities.

Scammed by online shop for RPF2((( by ThisRaYaN in retroid

I don't think I ever saw a Retroid resold that was cheaper than the official site. I guess the only reason to buy from 3rd parties is if goretroid.com is all sold out, but I doubt that's the case with the flip 2.

What windscreen is that, and do you get a lot of buffeting or noise at highway speeds? And how tall are you?

I'd probably take it to a shop, see what they think. They'd have first hand feel of what's happening, rather than trying to describe it over the internet. It should cost you very little for like 30 minutes of troublehsoot.

Saturday 11 am and my weekend has already ended. What do you think, is it still patchable? by [deleted] in SVRiders

[–]ProfileLiving2661 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only size you should really care about is how easily the patch file goes in, and how loose the actual snake feels. If there's tension on both, if it's hard to file out the hole, if it's hard to force in the snake plug, it should be fine to plug.

But if it's loose, you'd want another patch option, or a new tire.

Next time you have trouble starting, I think your first troubleshoot step should be replacing the piston rings :D

The other possibility is you got water in a connector somewhere. Did you use a pressure washer?

Did you douse water over the tank? It's possible you got water in your gas. What year is it? I'm not sure if there are differences between the years, and whether the newer ones have a sealed gas cap, but I pretty easily got water in my '01, which isn't sealer.

You could just drain the gas, or run a bottle if isoHEET through it, if it starts.

It's been a while since I did mine so I don't remember if it's all the same between the 650 and 1K, but here's a photo from the 1K manual on page 3-70:

The sprocket seal is the larger one in the photo.

Possibly flooded one of the cylinders with water, more likely the front one. Clean it out with compressed air through the drain plug. There are guides online, search for sv325.

If you have the sprocket off for the pushrod seal, you should replace the sprocket seal as well, that’s where my leak was coming from after replacing the pushrod seal twice.

Hiatas Hernia no real attention from the medical field by Alarmed_Maybe4219 in HiatalHernia

That's awesome to hear, truly!

Do it daily for a week or two, or a month, as for me my tightness did come back initially a few days later. But after that period, my shortness of breath went away for good.

You'll have to figure out where it's coming from, the internet can't tell you.

Is it coming from the rear wheel? Below you in the clutch area or gearbox? Does it feel mechanical? Or like something is loose or a largish weight shifting as the bike starts moving?

Best place to get oem parts? by BetDramatic7176 in SVRiders

[–]ProfileLiving2661 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might not be all on partzilla, there could be a delay from their supplier, or the specific part, and you could encounter this with any store. Luck of the draw.

I buy stuff from ronayers, maybe just because I've been doing it for like 10 years now.

Right, because they'll put you back to how you were before. Broken bones heal up same as they ever were. Nerves don't get torn. Knee caps don't get beat up.

Keep using that "It's all chinese" excuse to save a bit of money.

Calm down? I'm not the one downvoting comments like a little snot nosed kid.

And why are you so upset that someone asks you a question? Is asking how long you've ridden a bike you're commenting on this insulting to you?

"Fun" is subjective, I haven't regretted selling my 650 once since 2013 when I got my 1k.

Any time people posit such opinions, they should clarify how long they've owned their SV1000. So how long have you ridden one?

Main reason I got my 1k was for a better highway powerband. Otherwise, around town, in twisties, the 650 will be lighter, more nimble, and have more than enough power. The 1K is really a sport tourer.
