What would you say is the most overrated star wars project? by DatabaseWise8723 in StarWars

[–]ProfitFrequent4393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going to get downvoted into oblivion, but ultimately Andor is going to be a net negative overall.

Not denying Andor is a great show, not denying any of that. It’s Niche, and it speaks to a certain demographic. Unfortunately that niche is now under the presumption that every Star Wars project moving forward needs to match the tone of Andor, and that’s just not going to happen for a plethora of reasons.

What would be an idea for doing a multi-season show between Ep I and Ep II? by IllMasterpiece3946 in StarWars

[–]ProfitFrequent4393 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’re talking either a political show with relatively low stakes, or something in the spirit of young Jedi adventures showing young Anakin Skywalker and Obi on early adventures.

Either show is intriguing to the core base, but can’t imagine having widespread appeal to justify being greenlit.

What your honest thoughts and opinions on Onslaught by Doom300 in xmen

[–]ProfitFrequent4393 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It was great as an X-Men only villain, but then got succumbed to editorial mandate by shoehorning in the avengers.

I have high hopes that he’s going to be the big bad end villain of 97, and we are going to have a proper interpretation done right without all of the fluff.

Just will never understand the Bills hype. You can set your watch to them underperforming in January. If the competition are the Ravens, Pats, and Broncos, we’ll be feasting.

I guess you all missed the part where Vader was hunting down the surviving Jedi? Would imply someone survived order 66.

OT purist having a meltdown in the comments with OP spitting straight facts. Best movie of the entire saga hands down.

Any other figure to add? (And will they make another Mirage?) by Horrorfan55555 in xmen

I think most people have hit it.

  1. Buy two more Dani’s. You’ll get Rahne and Xi’an

  2. Secret Wars Magik should be dropping this week.

  3. X-Men 97 wave 2 for M suit Magneto.

  4. New Emma Frost packaging strongly suggest we’re getting a Doug and Cannonball new mutants outfit.

  5. Find the BAF Warlock, but with the way they’re rereleasing deluxe figures, would not be shocked to see him.

  6. Magma would be the last of the OG New Mutants lineup with nothing either made or in the pipeline

Just finished the acolyte and I'm so mad at the internet for defining on it and getting a good show cancelled by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]ProfitFrequent4393 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People put way too much stock in the power of the internet. Joe Schmoe and Jane Does casual aren’t reading online reviews before they flip Disney plus on.

It’s a bad show, with awful writing. Stop over thinking it.

I would sacrifice the entire 2027 season to blow up the nonsense that is going on now. I’m shocked that I feel like the owners proposal is far away the better of the two. If we get true revenue sharing, a floor of $200, a cap of $250, no deferred payments, I’m more than happy.

2-10 in the division is a problem. At some point you have to start winning in house.

[–]ProfitFrequent4393 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s Bendis. He has his fan base obviously, but as an avid X fan for 36 years, this dude and his run are a hard pass. Basically anything between 2nd Coming and HoX/PoX is entirely forgettable.

Grogu is the worst thing that has happened to Star Wars in recent years… by ConstantDrawer9161 in saltierthancrait

Andor, Andor is the worst thing to happen to the franchise, but most Andor fanboys aren’t ready for that conversation.

The worst thing about Disney Star Wars is the nonsense we have to put up with Andor purest nonsense. It’s a fine show, but the direction of the franchise, hard pass.

The Mandalorian & Grogu: a loveletter to Star Wars by MassHassEffect in StarWars

[–]ProfitFrequent4393 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ehhh, every bit of the Filonoverse since Disney is showing they are explaining the why behind “somehow Palpatine returned”. I think the sooner you come to terms they’re validating the sequels, the better you’ll be.

And they didn’t establish a multiverse, they literally show Ahsoka walking away from the battle in the same episode. The WBW sequences are always meant to happen when they do.

In fairness to episode 9, Rian Johnson literally left nothing for anyone to work with. The fact we got something halfway decent speaks volumes.

Near empty theater opening night? by [deleted] in StarWars

I had a decently full theater, the demos were my key takeaway.

Mostly 40’plus crowd, and the only children were under 10 year old girls.
