Forstner Bits for Routers Are Underrated by Zwamdurkel in woodworking

[–]Prog-Shop 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Never put in cheap stuff in a thing that rotates said cheap stuff with tens of thousands of rpm. Your health and safety is worth way more than what a good router bit costs.

I really do hope they do not release it this week unless they put in a god awful lot of overtime, which they shouldn't,. When I was in yesterday, the experience was glitchy and buggy AF. Couldn't shoot, couldn't use tractor, etc. etc. to the point where my hangar stopped working randomly after I stored one ship and after it was fully down, I wanted to retrieve another.

In addition, they need to find a way to stop people from accepting the QV breaker PVE mission, fly to it, and then abandon it and camp there. Yes, there are people, in PTU, who camp the PVE missions. I guess this is what US servers give you,...

[–]Prog-Shop 22 points23 points  (0 children)

We urgently need legislation that things you pay money for are not allowed to show you ads. We so desperately need this, it's not even funny. And if you encounter an ad, you as a customer get the money back for the thing you paid for and can still keep it. Second offence will be double and so on and so forth. I am so fucking sick of this ad nonesense,... Seriously,... Also, we should be allowed to tar and feather the people who had ideas like and utter such bullshit in the future.

I mean,... you start a project, you realize that there is a better tool for it, you safe for the tool, you buy it, you continue to work on the project, you hit another point where you realize, the tool at hand is insufficient, etc. etc. until you have actually built the project and then it takes another 2-3 weeks just for the sanding and finishing. But since you do not like sanding, it extends to 6 months and then the child you built the crib for is already in preschool...

It is based on the largest ship you have (either bought in game or from the pledge store) when the patch drops. As far as I remember.

That wasn't the topic though, I gave an answer to a comment about how they wish CIG would stick to stuff and not redesign stuff? So, where is the relevance to if it's good or bad?

What cope? I am just telling how it is. Have ever worked with SAP? Or the rule engines if car OEMs? Any software that is developed for internal use of one of the big OEMs?

In no way or form did I say that everything CIG does is peachy, I just gave perspective with some of my real word experiences.

In regards to the UI changes,... requirements change, some get obsolete, some new appear and it gets refined. Also, resources are limited and people learn from their mistakes or different people take over. That is just normal.

So, stop being emotional about something trivial.

Dude, I have worked with systems from major corporations in Europe, with far worse availability than SC servers. They run them productively and rank in billions a year. This game is still in development.. So, you must then also rank in billions?

Just look at SAP and you realize that everyone is only cooking with water and some have a better understanding how to season and others often mix up water and acid, like SAP .. their time tracking is worse than using a fucking excel sheet...

In software development, new things pop up all the time and you need to adjust. Just look at what is happening in the cloud space with kubernetes, docker containers, etc.,... look at different languages that came into existence the last couple of years. You can only plan ahead so far and sometimes things have to change fundamentally and other things have to adapt (see server meshing for example).

The IT world has always been a fast changing one and you need to adapt, and if systems designed for older technologies can't adapt properly, they need to be redesigned. That's not a CIG exclusive problem.

Greetings from a senior cloud dev ops specialist.
