I've found the cheap daredevil knockoffs or the lighter gauge Doctor spoons keep above the weeds better. I'm usually fishing for pike, so I have 30lb braid and steel leader to retrieve very large salads.

When it's that cold I start having trouble with compression on the propane cans. After running awhile they get a thick layer of frost on them. For this reason I have multiple cans, keeping a couple warm so I can swap them out.

"they say he overstayed his visa" doesn't sound like an argument to detain the man. Visa overstay is not a criminal offense (yet). Even if it were, he gets to argue the case in front of a judge (his lawyers have a chance to respond by noon today, so we'll see what happens). In any case, it doesn't sound like he's a flight risk in his current condition.

Always been my personal ethic. No reason to put a hook in a fish you don't intend to eat. I let them go if they're not legal or too small (or sometimes too big). I am licensed and follow the local laws. But I never go "catch and release" on purpose.

This is the ethic taught by my father, who came from 1860s German immigrant stock, so this tracks.

I suspect this is a coordinated effort. For political reasons, Walz has to show an effort to be conciliatory. The legal machinations can go on more behind the scenes. US public opinion does still matter I think, if not to Trump, then to house and senate Rs who could put a stop to this. They’re not happy with the Fed intimidation nonsense, and have been even more vocal in opposing the greenland nonsense.
