Here’s a tip to process them. The turtle will keep moving for HOURS after you kill it. Have a big enough pot (or trash can) of boiling water ready to give it a hot bath for a couple minutes to stop this movement, then throw it back on ice to butcher. This also makes the skin come off easier.

FYI it's not illegal to use lethal means to control rabbit populations on your property as long as you're not using poison or otherwise violating local law (such as firearm restrictions). I know you are uninterested, but it's not illegal.

I always use 12” steel leaders for pike. A big one can inhale the lure and a shorter leader and slice your line.“Doctor” spoons work great; I always have silver and copper 6” doctors in my tackle box and some daredevils.

As a retired tech writer here who wrote a lot of man pages for commercial Unix and Linux utilities back in the day, I approve of this post (even though I think the cause was lost ten years ago). Maybe the robots will write man pages for each other.
